I didn't move until all the gasps snapped me out. Tyler kneeled in front of me and held out his hand but I backed away and stood up on my own trying to ignore the pain in my neck. It had twisted thanks to Alex.

I stared at Alex full of fear and ran off. I knew they wouldn't follow me. They knew they had gone too far.

Once I was far enough I sat on the floor and truly started crying ignoring all the phone calls and messages I was receiving. I cried because I was afraid because I knew Victoria only liked me because I didn't hang out with werewolves because I felt like I didn't have a family and mostly because I was alone.

Walking alone at night never scared me. I've always known that trouble often follows the shadows but I have never cared enough. Maybe because I've never experienced anything traumatic at night. The only thing that was bothering me at this moment was the pouring rain.

I felt my phone buzzing again in my pocket.

Once the buzzing stopped I got hold of my phone and looked firstly at the time.

9:59 pm

Then I looked at my notifications.

Mom 9 missed calls
Dad 12 missed calls
Mom message: Baby, where are you? We are really concerned.
Dad message: Where are you?
Dad message: Honnie are you safe?
Dad message: I've informed the Alpha that you've gone missing.
Alex 3 missed calls.
Alex message: I'm so sorry Em, you have no idea.
Eric message: Where are you?
Alex message: Please come home.
Victoria message: Hey, what happened after you left school?
Eric 1 missed call.
Tyler 6 missed calls.
Tyler message: Hey, I know you're freaked out or something but we need you home.
Mom message: I'm scared. I need you here.
Private caller 2 missed calls.

I sighed at decided to ignore all of my messages except my mom's. I quickly unlocked my phone and texted back.

I'm on my way back. I'm fine.

Almost instantly I got a reply.

Mom message: Are you far?
Mom message: Do you want me to pick you up?

I stopped and stared around. I was far. If I walked home I would take around 30 minutes, if I ran I would take 15 minutes. But I'm not going to do that.

I decided to accept my mom's proposal.

I'm not that far but I'm tired. I'm next to the new coffee place.

Once I sent my reply I leaned against the wall and decided to relax. They're probably going to take a few minutes to come to get me.

It's funny how the world works. One minute I'm playing Wii with my brothers and the next I can't even look them in the eyes. I don't blame them for being monsters, it wasn't their choice. But I still choose to hate them for that. I've seen them fight, bully people and even kill rogues. That's enough to make anyone a monster.

I remember a few months after the werewolves took over that I was in the garden, which was connected to the forest, painting. I had just found out who my dad, my brothers and Xander were. Then out of nothing I started hearing growls.

Then the sounds stopped. And I saw four wolves coming closer. Each snout covered in dark velvet blood. I gasped and got to my feet. Before I could run back they shifted

Eric, Tyler, Alex and my dad. They instantly high fives each other and congratulated each other.

They were out hunting rouges.
