finns POV
i had just recently transferred to y/s/n(your school name) due to moving from my hometown; vancouver, canada, to y/ht(your home town).
my family and I have been unpacking for a couple hours now.
my room was pretty nice, I have to say.
our house was a two story and my room being on the second story.
my room is fairly big with a bathroom that is bigger than expected.

I walked back out of my huge house for the millionth time today, but heard obnoxious laughter that sounded pretty close.
I looked around to see a girl filming another girl skateboarding, but kept failing, and instead falling.
the girl that was filming was laughing her ass off, and later on falling onto the girl who was riding on the skateboard by tripping.
her laugh was so adorable, though I decided to ignore and continue carrying these heavy ass boxes that were literally breaking my back.

my family and I had just finished unpacking our boxes from our haul truck we had rented.
my room was quite messing but that is only because they were boxes everywhere.
it was currently 7:55pm and was not that excited about school tomorrow, but it's whatever.
I'm the new kid, it shouldn't be that hard.
my bed was just a mattress, I didn't like having a bed frame.
I sat down on my bed and plugged in my phone, and decided to go downstairs to see what we are going to eat for dinner.
my mother had responded that we just order pizza since it's easy and simple.

after dinner, I laid down on my bed and with that, I went to sleep.
I was pretty tired after all the unpacking I had done today.

I woke up to my alarm blaring in my ear that was set to 6:30am.
I aggressively pushed the "stop" button and sat up from my unframed bed, and walked down the stairs.
"hey, I left some money on the counter Incase you want to buy yourself something for breakfast before school." nick stated, rushing out the door for work.

nick is my big brother, he's 21 but he's not like other stereotyped big brothers.
nick is very caring and is always someone I talk to when im sad or have anxiety.
that is why I love him so much.
of course, my parents are the same way, but I can talk to nick about my own personal problems.
its hard talking about personal stuff to my parents.

"thank you!" I smiled and watched as he ran out the door.
I grabbed the few dollar bills that were on the counter, and threw on my backpack, that was hanging off one of the kitchen chairs, and walked onto the front porch. my dad was out for work: writing, and my mom was applying for a new job here in y/h/t.

I made my way to a close gas station.
when we first came to this town mom showed me where the school was and, surprisingly, it was pretty close and easy to get to.
and while we were driving, I saw a gas station, so that's where I'm heading.
after walking a few minutes, I finally reached the gas station.
I pulled the door open, and walked in, looking at all the things around me.
the man at the cash register looked at me as soon as I walked in and when I made eye contact, he just waved.
I nodded my head in response and walked over the fridges full of drinks.
starbucks is pretty good.
I grabbed a mocha starbucks coffee from the fridge, and started making my way to the counter.

as I was walking, I had bumped into someone which was the most expected seeing how I had my head down, looking at the ground.
I looked up to see a familiar face.
that's..that's the girl from yesterday!
I managed to speak out a quiet "sorry" and had a response that made me melt.
she melted into her smile, lifting her shoulders higher, saying: "it's okay."
I cracked out a little bit of a smile as she tucked a piece of hair behind her ear.

god dammit, she was so cute.

"hey wait, you're the new kid, right?"

"um, yes..how did you know?"

"oh, I saw you yesterday. you were unpacking into the house next to mine." she smiled.

"oh, right. very consequently I saw you yesterday, too! you were with your friend skateboarding. right?"

"oh you saw that?" she looked embarrassed. I smiled at the way she said her sentence and just nodded.

"oh I'm so sorry. y/f/n is...something else." her cheeks were now blushed and she just looked down.

I slightly chuckled.

my face dropped when I saw her look at me in sudden worry.
"oh shit! it's 8:02! we're late already!" she yelled.
I looked at her watch:
8:02.
oh god dammit! I'm already late for the first day of my new school.
I rushed to the counter and payed for my drink as the girl before, payed for her stuff and ran out the door.
we both ran down the street as fast as we could.

we rushed into school, grabbing our late passes and I followed the girl as she took me to my first period.

"hey, I never got your name."

she looked up at me with those gorgeous
y/e/c eyes.

"y/n. and yours?"

"finn."

"well, it was very nice meeting you, finn." she smiled when starting her sentence.

I smiled at this gesture, too.

we stopped in the middle of the hallway as she introduced me to my first period.

"here we are! agriculture! surprisingly one of my favorites. I'm sure you'll like it here, too. its pretty fun if I say so myself." y/n said, spreading her arms out, making jazz hands.

"thank you, y/n."

god dammit, I just couldn't stop smiling while with this girl.

"anytime, finnlard!"

I blushed at the nickname she had given me.

i couldn't resist anymore.

I then did something I might regret later:

I leaned, sliding my hand on her cheek, and pulling away waving while walking into class.

my last glimpse of her before I had walked into the room, was her standing there, shocked, but blushed as hell.
