*DAMION*
"Fuck" I groan, turning over in my bed. My head was pounding. That Hennessy was nothing to play with, and I abused it.
I wince while trying to sit up, hearing my phone vibrate repeatedly. I sit in my bed for a while, fighting to recall the events from the night before. I rub my temples for a second before getting up and going to the bathroom. I take some Tylenol, and start to brush my teeth.
I remember one of those fans, throwing something at Sonya's car. I spit out the toothpaste. I hope she isn't upset with me, I got the attention, and it punished her. And she was the D.D. ...I know she didn't have any fun last night.
She must've taken me home after all that. I should've said something to her, and finally let her know how I felt. "So stupid." I say to myself. After washing off my face, I dry my hands, putting my toothbrush and paste away.
I go back to my bedroom, grabbing my phone and looking at the time. "Damn." I cuss under my breath. It was now 5:17 p.m. and my clients were blowing my phone up. As a personal trainer, my clients get very needy when they lose motivation.
I think for a second, do I really need to work today, opposed to every other day. I shoot each client a text,
"Hey! I've been dealing with some minor issues. But, don't lose courage! Remember to at least do an hour of exercise today. You can break this time up, 30 minutes now and 30 minutes later. I believe in you!
P.S. I will know if you did this or not." I hit send to 20 receipts.
I smile, knowing Sonya's at work right now. I look at her contact before putting my phone on sleep, I'll make it a surprise. I go to my closet and grab a pale red T-shirt, and some jeans.
After getting dressed, I'm on my way out. I make sure to turn all my lights off on my way out, except for my living room.
I have to make up for last night.

I finally made it to the cash register, but only under Jamie's special supervision. "Jamie, how is vegan ice cream a thing?" I ask out of boredom. There were only 3 customers present, all over 1,000 years old. I'm surprised this place even exists, it's really slow. But maybe there's orders on the computer.
"Girl, I don't even know, I'm not a vegan. Ask Chelsea when she comes through." she chuckles, stacking up freshly washed and dried trays.
"Hmm. Then how are you gonna prove it to customers when they ask?" I ask, before drifting off into space. She was answering me, but I couldn't hear her. I haven't been able to get Damion off of my mind since I woke up this morning. Goosebumps invade my skin, rising my neck hairs, just thinking about the sex, and his hands all over me. A weak smile comes across my face.
"So yeah, and hey, isn't that Damion's car?" Jamie asks, snapping me out of it. I look into the parking lot, and sure enough, his bright red Sedan pulls up.
I panic, dropping down behind the counter. My heart almost jumped through my mouth and onto the floor. Jamie kneels down and grabs my hand, pulling me into the cooler. "Is there a reason you're acting crazy? Spacing out every five minutes, not listening to a thing I say. And now, Damion pulls up, a guy you see almost everyday, and you're nervous?" she folds her arms, wanting an explanation.
I stick out my pinky, "Promise me, you won't tell anyone. Not even Sabrina, I want to do it." She grabs my pinky with hers and tightens, "I pinky promise, now tell me what's going on."
I take a deep breath, my first time saying this out loud, "I went to that party with Damion, we left a little soon and stayed in the car. I smoked and he was drunk...annnnnnnd..." I pause for a second, looking at her, " we ended up having sex." I admit, looking to the ground.
Her mouth was hanging open. She just blinks, gasping before finally, "WHAT?!" she screams.
"Oh my gosh, SHHHH, Jamie. I know, it's surprising." I rub on my arms, the cooler's temperature was now getting to me. "Sonya, WHAT" she yell-whispers. "We're gonna have to go and serve him. But, was it good, is it big? Do you like him now? Are you guys going to start dating?" She was asking so many questions, and I couldn't blame her, I wanted the answers to some of them, too. "Later, Jamie. I swear, I'll tell you all about it on break." She nods in agreement, and I head out of the cooler.
Damion was facing the door, waiting. I walk up to the register, my knees weakening with every step I take.
He turns and looks down at me. "Sonya," He says, grinning, his smile was so perfect. I give him a smile back, "Hey, what would you like to order today?" I couldn't have a regular conversation, this employee script was the only thing saving me right now.
He puts his finger against his lips, looking up at the menu. I sit there, waiting and staring at him, nothing but flashbacks popping up in my head. "I love you, Sonya...And I want you." I hear him say. My eyes widen, "W-wait what?" I ask. He raises an eyebrow, sizing me, "I said I'll get the ice cream, are you okay?" he looks me in my eyes.
"Uhm, Sonya." Jamie interrupts, putting a hand on my shoulder and leaning next to my ear, "You can clock out, just make sure to call me later." she gives me a wink and smiles, patting my shoulder. "I'll take over that ice cream order, what kind would you like?" She says to Damion.
As they continue with his transaction, I go to the machine and clock out. I run to the back and grab my bag.
I stay there for a minute, checking myself out. I inhale deeply, hyping myself up, "You got this, booty on fat, stomach on flat, let's go." I carry my bag on my shoulder, leaving the back. I give Jamie a hug, like I normally do. "Bye, Jamie. Thank you so much." I say before walking on the other side of the counter. She hands me Damion's ice cream in a cup, "Anything for you, just give me details later. Now stop stalling and go get yours. I told him you'll serve it to him." She says, pointing behind me.
I give her a shy smile and turn around, he was looking at his phone, smiling. I couldn't help but think about the girls yesterday, I had forgotten...he was still the same. Sex meant nothing.
*DAMION*
I look through my messages, my clients were sending their workout evidence. I smile at my phone, before putting it to sleep. As long as my clients were working, I felt accomplished.
I look up to Sonya, suddenly in front of me, with ice cream. She had her bag in hand, too. "Are you off work?" I ask. She frowns, sliding my ice cream to me. "Yeah." she answers dryly. I pick up a spoon full of ice cream, "So, what's wrong with you?"
She leans her elbow on the table and props her face on her hand, "Just last night, we have to talk abou-"
"I know, I know..I should've been the one to drive. I'm sorry about those girls too...it wasn't planned or anything, you know? If your car is messed up I'll pay for it." I assure her.
*SONYA*
Does he...not remember? "Um...yeah, sure. Do you remember what all happened last night?" I ask, hoping, just praying he didn't forget that piece.
"Yeah, we went to the party, I got really drunk, and then that girl did the most and hit your car, after that, you took me home. That's it, right?" he asks, eating his ice cream.
My heart just fell out of my ass. "Uh...hold on," I drop my bag and get up, running to the bathroom, and into a stall. I vomit into the toilet, and wipe my mouth with tissue.
I lean on the sink, my lip quivering uncontrollably. Tears start to stream down my face "That's it, right?" his voice replays in my head. Was it that easy to forget...everything he'd said. I would remind him, bring it up, but I knew it. He was just drunk. I clench the sink, I knew this would happen. How embarrassing, and pathetic. I look at myself in the mirror and sigh.
Just forget it ever happened.
