The next morning i woke up a very similar way to the day before.
"Wakey, Wakey!!!" shouted Velvet storming into my room. I rolled over letting out a groan and pulling the covers over my head, hoping she got the message. Obiviously not when i felt the covers being yanked off.
"Get up! I've planned to leave in 40 minutes and you still need to get ready! Lets Go!" I rolled onto my back and with a loud sigh, i sat up and swung my legs over the side of my bed. Velvet grinned triumphantly. I rolled my eyes and winced as my bare feet met the cold floor, heading to the bathroom.
After i had showered, brushed my teeth and was wrapped in a fluffy bath robe, I moved into the room, thankful to see it was empty, and began to get dressed. I slid on the seemingly clean outfit that was beginning to be over worn. I made my bed and walked down the endless stairs to the kitchen.
Walking into the dining room, i saw that there were very few people sitting around with their breakfast. Velvet was among them. I sat down next to her and dug into my plate of food.
Once we were done, we put on our boots and went out the front door, where i had first arrived by horse carriage. We walked down the stairs and to a trail i hadnt noticed on our arrival. It was a cute paved trail through the trees and very soon we arrived at a big building made out of stone. We went to a man door on the side, and went in.
It was dark when the door shut behind us. Velvet flipped on the light and my jaw dropped once again. There was everything from sleek black cars, to big Hummers, to pickups, to SUV's, to Ducati motorcycles. The main colour scheme was black.
Velvet giggled at my expression before grabbing a set of keys off the key rack and swung them around her finger with a smirk. She hit the button and a hummer beeped. I gaped again. She ran to it and jumped into the drivers side, and hurried to follow after her.
A button on the dash sent the big garage door up, and she turned the key in the ignition, the hummer purring to life. Man i missed my truck. We sped off out the road, the door closing behind us, and drove out the twisty lane to where the lane merged right before the iron gates, the stable across from us.
Velvet barely stopped, rolling down the tinted windows. The guard peeked in and immediatly opened the gates, not saying a word. We rolled out of the boundary of Arindelle and moved down the somewhat familiar road the school bus had brought us in on.
On the road, we talked about everything and anything. Learning more about one another, telling our pasts, our hobbies, and our freaky obsessions. I told Velvet briefly what had happened with the kidnapping and how none of us had family left. Velvet gossiped about the people our age that were in Arindelle. Apparently there were alot of them. She told about the cute guys, the rude girls, the friends and the enemies. I learned about funny stories that went on at their late night bon fires, who said what, and who liked who. I knew a bunch of names, and couldnt wait to see the actual people.
The thirty minutes to town flew by and i was surprised by a fairly large town. It was not what i was expecting. We pulled into a large, multi-story mall, and eventually found a parking space.
We walked for what seemed to be forever, taking our time looking through the windows, before coming to the more popular side of the mall. My feet were already killing me but i didnt complain as i looked up at Velvet's delighted face.
She pulled me through the crowds into the first store. I hate going shopping so i avoid these types of excursions as much as possible. To say i was lost as to what to look at, was an understatement. Apparently Velvet wasnt. She dragged me to rack after rack holding things up, looking at sizes, colours, and patterns.
