After every one finished playing in the creek, we were ordered to get our packs back on. Thunder climbed on Nate's back and Timber loaded his pack on to our wagon.

Once everyone was suited back up, we began the slow procession of moving again.

Nate didn't seem to struggle at all with the little added weight of Thunder on his back.

My wolf hated to be confined, the entire time that we were walking, she was just repeating, 'We need to escape, we need to get away'. It was annoying but i put up with it knowing that i would probably be saying the same thing if i was ini a human harness.

Time dragged on, and there were times that i thought that the trail had just ended, but in reality it had just turned the next corner. The exhaustion was clearly playing tricks on everyone's minds.

Our entire remaining pack was talking through the mind link to one another. Since everyone was talking about something different, it was hard to focus in on the overlapping conversations.

Finally when the sun was starting to set and the sky was turning oranges and yellows, it was announced that we would be stopping for the night.

We arrived at a flat meadow area and the soldiers began setting up the Master's tent and the human group dropped their bags and started taking off everyone else's. Then they started setting up their own tents that they would be sleeping in.

Once everyone's tents were set up, and the fire was started and the rations were handed out, everyone sat down around the fire, and talked about nothing in particular.

I was laying listening to the wolves thoughts when someone poked me in the side. I picked up my big head and looked at Jake who had stood up and was walking away from everyone else, over towards the edge of the meadow and farther away from the soldiers.

I waited a moment before getting up and walking after him. I spotted him laying down in the tall grass.

I crept over and sat down beside him.

"You came." He spoke aloud.

"Why wouldn't I?" I asked through the mind link.

"We haven't been that close lately."

"Oh I'm sorry, I was busy being kidnapped and trying to behave." I said sarcastically.

"You know what I mean. I also noticed that you have been getting close to Nate."

"I wouldn't say close, we are just.... Friends." I didn't even know what to call us.

"I don't trust him."

"He's not bad. Just because Master thinks he is loyal to him doesn't mean that he would ever betray his own kind." I defended Nate.

"Lydia, I went to school two schools over. Even I heard the rumours about him. He's no good. You just can't see that because he hasn't had time to partake in his bad habits, since we've been kidnapped." He had raised his voice.

" Look I didn't come here to fight with you. What did you want to talk to me about?"

He lowered his voice and said, "I think I know how we can escape..."

So he talked and I listened and after an hour, we had come up with a plan. Risky, yes. But we needed to escape and I was willing to try anything.

We then walked back to the campfire at separate times, so no-one would get suspicious, and I sat down beside Nate, who was sitting in the shadowed part of the fire.

"We've got a plan to escape." I thought to him.

His face showed no emotion, but he nodded his head.

Later that night, Timber, Nate, Jake, and I snuck away from the sleeping pack and went over all of the little details. There was one thing that we all agreed on.

We were going to get everyone out.
