*Clang*

I awoke with a start, as soldiers walked down the aisles of beds, clanging their metal sticks on the framing as they went.

I quickly woke up Wynde and go up and put on my boots.

I saw every one else getting out of bed, and collecting the few things they had with them.

I walked to the big doors where every one was waiting. Once all of us were ready, the doors were opened and we were led back through the twisting and turning hallways, but before we could reach the 'gym' we walked through a different door that led to a cafeteria looking place were we were given a bowl full of oatmeal.

Everyone was very hungry and finished the oatmeal in no time, but were not given more.

We were then let outside into a courtyard style area where about a hundred men all stood, among them was Master. Only around 20 would come with us so the rest could stay and continue the business back here. We went and stood in our groups that we were assigned last night.

Everyone was given a black jumpsuit to wear when rotated through the 'human' group, and a small plain backpack to carry your extra belongings in when in the 'wolf' group. No-one spoke a word.

Once massive amounts of food was loaded into an old covered wagon, and an unidentifiable drug was sorted into large backpacks for the 'humans' and a few soldiers to carry, and huge saddle-style bags for the wolves, the wolves were injected with enough of the poison to keep them shifted for 5 days.

Then the wolves were tied to one another incase anyone got the idea to run and were given the bags they would have to carry.... they were huge and a lot of the younger wolves fell under the weight until they got used to it.

The humans were given there backpacks and grew hunched under the weight by did not fall. I guess the time in the human group was your vacation.

I was given my saddle thing, which i noticed was slightly less heavier than yesterdays and then was moved over the covered wagon and was hooked up to the harness much like a horse.

I drooped my big head once i was hooked up knowing that i could not do anything now. Then Nate's big, black wolf walked up beside me and was hooked up as well.

Every one was ready and we were assembled with Master and about 20 more soldiers up front leading the way, then the wolves, with the wagon in the centre, and the humans bringing up the rear.

Our huge procession started the slow move out the gates. When it was my turn, i leant into the harness, and felt the leather dig into my fur. The wagon didn't budge and i started to dig in with my big paws and start to try to pull. Then the wagon started to move easily. I picked my self up and looked over to see

Nate's larger wolf straining against the harness.

I got over my surprise and leaned back down into the leather and began to pull to. Once we got the old wheels rolling, we both straightened up and with the both of us, just had to lean into the harness to make it move.

"Thought you were just supposed to supervise." I mind-linked Nate.

"You're right, I'll stop" He said with a hint of sarcasm.

Then the weight that i had on my shoulders tripled and i couldn't keep the wagon going and hold up the backpack. I heard the wolfy chuckle and then Nate leaned back in and the weight was gone.

"Thank you." I thought. After all i needed his help.

"What's with the long faces everyone? We only have like, 8 more hours of this!" Came Master's cheery voice over the megaphone he had up front.

"Don't think about the time" I mind-linked the rest of the pack.

Well it was hard not to when you had nothing else to do.
