"Hey, Kaede!" Shuichi yelled as he chased Kaede, she turns and looks at him to see him panting and holding his knees as his head faced towards the floor. "What is it, Shuichi?" Kaede asks him as politely as she can. "I have a question, it's about the boy at the back... Kokichi was it?", Kaede's body froze for a brief moment, even her breath seemed to have stopped. "I'm sorry Shuichi but I'm afraid it's best if you don't approach him" Kaede warned him after she regained her breath. Shuichi's curiosity grew bigger, he wanted to know why everyone was occasionally glaring or keeping an eye at Kokichi in the classroom. He really wanted to know, "why is that?" He asked Kaede, "you'll figure it out very soon... anyways the other class is going to start! So let's go!", Kaede started to speed walk away from Shuichi, most likely because she didn't want to continue the conversation with him. This made Shuichi much more curious than he has ever been.
When he arrived to the class, he sat down and opened his book. Kokichi was there, sitting looking out the window with boredom clear on his face. It was different from when he saw him at the start of the morning, Kokichi then moved his head towards Shuichi direction. The two were looking at each other for a brief moment until Kokichi realized that Shuichi was looking at him. He didn't want the boy to come talk to him nor did he want Shuichi to have a wrong idea about him, just like the others. He didn't want more people misunderstanding him, everything was already painful enough for him. He even doubts he can handle more people treating him badly.
When the teacher walked in, Shuichi stopped looking at the other boy and raised his hand. "Hm? What is it Shuichi? Asking something about the school? Or about the less-" the teacher was then cut off by Shuichi. "Can I sit somewhere else?" He questioned the teacher. "Sure but why is it you want to change seats? Do you not feel comfortable in your seating spot?" "It's just... I want to move is all... I mean Kokichi seems kinda lonely at the back so... I want to sit somewhere next to him please." Shuichi answered the teacher. "Hey Shuichi that's nice of you and all... but I don't think that going to benefit you since... Kokichi isn't who you think he is..." Kokichi and his other classmates was rather confused at why Shuichi wanted to sit next to him, a troublemaker. Perhaps he hasn't heard about the things I did, Kokichi looked back at the window, or maybe... he wants to harass me for the things I did... "Who is him then? I don't understand why everyone has to be so secretive here!" Shuichi shouted. "I'm sorry Shuichi but it's for your own good that you are staying next to Kaede, she's a great student and the fact we are not telling you who Kokichi actually is..."
"What's the harm of me sitting next to him?! I don't understand!" "You'll see who he truly is soon Shuichi, trust me... please..." Shuichi then hesitantly sat down. Well that answers my questions, Kokichi thought to himself as he looks at Shuichi curiously. I guess it wouldn't hurt to understand him later...
