Avoiding the question

Shuichi went out and ran back to the classroom. When he came back everyone was there, chatting away until the bell started ringing. Shuichi sat back in his seat and looked at Kokichi who is sitting at the back. He had a very small smile on his face while looking out the window, Shuichi couldn't help but smile and looked back at the teacher. It's still his first day at this school but he didn't know that his first day would be something so paranormal. Home time soon came and the students are free to leave the school, Shuichi looked at Kokichi who started packing his things after a long day at school. Everyone left except Kokichi and Shuichi.

Kokichi stopped packing and looked up after he felt a presence, it wasn't hostile or anything like that. Shuichi was there, "Hey Kokichi?" "What is it Shuichi?" He said normally as he smiled. Shuichi smiled back, "Just wondering if you want to hang out after school" "Hmm~" "Sorry did I say something wrong?" "Nuh-uh!~ Stupidhead!~" Kokichi replied and stood up. "I am very busy! I have an organization of over 10000 members!" "Really? Because I don't know any organization that large" "Ehh!~ Are you saying you don't believe me?~ WAHHHHH YOU'RE SO MEAN SHUICHI!" Kokichi cried out as Shuichi started panicking again.

"No! That's not what I am saying! I sai-" "Nehehe~ I'm a liar you know!" Kokichi said after he interrupted Shuichi. "So you were lying?" "Maybe!~ But I'll hang out with you since my organization don't need a leader anyways!~" "I see, would you mind introducing me to them one day?" Shuichi asked him. Kokichi's eyes widened a bit but changed back to its normal size and said as cheerfully as he can "No way!~ After all my organization is a secret!~" Shuichi got into his thinking pose. Hmm... Is there really such a big organization? Or is he just lying? "Hmm... Is there really such a big organization? Or is he just lying?" Kokichi repeated Shuichi's thought. "Ah!" called out in surprise. "Yahoo!~ I just got a bingo!" Kokichi jumped up and down, punching the air childishly as he smiled a bit wider.

"By the way, I'm a mind reader!~" Kokichi said suddenly after he stopped jumping and looked at Shuichi. "What!?" Shuichi called out in surprise again. "It's a lie! Nehehe!~ Shuichi you are far too simple!" Shuichi looked at him in disbelief. "Sooooo!~ Aren't we suppose to be going off now?~" Kokichi said as he put his hands behind his back and started looking around the place. "Yeah... I guess... Everyone's already gone now" Shuichi responded, he was still surprised. "Nehehe!~ Guess I'll go off now!~" Kokichi started to grab his stuff and leave. Shuichi then grabbed Kokichi's hand to prevent him from leaving "Kokichi, aren't we hanging out today? You still haven't answered" "Wow! You're so persistent Shuichi! Do you like me or something?~"

"..." "What's wrong?~ Did the cat catch your tongue?~" "Why are you avoiding the question?" Shuichi questioned the boy. Kokichi stopped smiling "Don't you think it's too early for that?" "What do you mean?" "Nothing!~" Kokichi waved with a smile on his face as he exited the classroom leaving Shuichi alone.
