I start to tremble, then he puts his arms around me.

"It's ok." He says soothingly.

"Sp-sp-sp" I sputter out.

"I know. And it's okay. I won't let them get you. We'll move to my dads palace in the ocean, where no spiders are. No fear. And you could be my Queen." He smiles and kisses my forehead, that would be a wonderful life.

Too bad we're demigods.

In that moment, with my short pj shorts and his arms still around me, Leo walks in.

I shriek and pull down my shorts a little. Percy doesn't let go of me. Not now, not ever.

"Well well, look at the lovebirds." He smirks

"What are you doing here Leo?" Percy asks.

"I joined the school!"

Me and Percy groan in unison, then we bear hug Leo. I love that dude like a brother.

"Haha, now unpack my stuff, I have some girls to check out." The throws his suitcase at us.

Me and Percy put all his junk in a drawer, which is mostly bolts and building materials.

"So are you okay Annabeth? For real. Don't lie to me, it wouldn't be wise." He winks, and I shove him.

"Spiders scare me to hades, but I'm fine."

I grab some clothes and put them on in the bathroom. Just a typical blue t-shirt and jeans. I leave my hair down.

"IM BACK!" Leo yells, and he has lipstick marks all over his face.

"Did the girls actually take interest in you?"

"They just couldn't resist this Hot Stuff. TEAM LEO FOR LIFE!"

"I find that hard to believe." Percy counters.

"Wanna know the truth, it took me an hour to draw these kiss marks on my face." He smirks.

Percy, Leo and I head for the pool. Percy had a little debate with Leo, and in the end we did what Percy wanted because let's admit it, nobody would ever go to the tool shop with Leo.

Percy whips off his shirt, and dives right in. Leo, on the other hand heads for the high dive. I can't help but laugh, just waiting to see him belly flop.

I take out a mini radio, and settle on a beach chair under an umbrella. I hear rapid clicking of flip-flops, and I already know who it was.

Brittany.

She walks over to me and says:

"Um, Annaloser. This is where the POPULAR people sit."

"Oh, excuse me but I didn't think you were popular. And before you say I'm a loser, have you looked in a mirror lately? Lame insult, but I shot back.

She glares at me.

"You're a bold one, watch your back." She sneers.

"But if I were you, I would look behind your back." I smirk.

Percy is storming over, drying his hair with a towel.

"What are y'all chatting about ladies?" He gives her a dazzling smile and to my dismay, her eyes light up.

"Just welcoming Annal- Annabeth to the school." She flips her hair and walks away. That, was probably in her best interest.

Percy sits in a chair next to me, and grabs my hand. He knew she wasn't welcoming me.

A while later, I guess me and Percy had fell asleep, because I woke up to cold water.

In my sleep, Leo had picked me up and threw me in the pool. By the look in Percy's eyes, I'm surprised he hadn't killed him yet.

Instead, Percy starts shooting little bursts of water in Leo's eyes. When the mortals weren't looking. I can't help but laugh, because Leo can't see and he stumbles into the pool. Percy then jumped in after him and dunked him.

Boys.

I love them.
