Chapter 28- Shopping

I quietly shut the door behind me to the dorm, and take off my snow-covered boots and scarf. I shiver and want to climb back in bed, but there is work to be done. With Christmas two days away, I have no break time. Christmas was always a big deal to me.

I go around the dorm and pick clothes up off the ground and place them into the hamper. Living with two boys makes the dorm very sloppy, and I can't stand it. If Percy were up right now, he would take my cleaning supplies and kiss me as Leo smirked.

I was thinking about him and I find myself wiping an already clean window. What? Percy has taken over my thoughts once again.

I smile in spite of myself and put the towel I was cleaning with into the hamper with the clothes.

Looking at my watch it's, 10:00. Percy really does sleep late. I grab a real coat this time and decide to finish Christmas shopping.

I write a quick stick note and stick it on Percy's forehead,

Hey. Just me letting you know I was going to the mall, and I'll be back around 1. Love you xoxoxo

Cheesy, I know. But it's the kind of mushy stuff he loved. Therefore I love it.

I put on some different boots that aren't soaked, then grab my car keys and purse and head out the door.

The roads were slippery, and my hands were shaking throughout the drive. Ice has never made me feel so worried.

I pull into the mall parking lot, and find it packed. I see grown women rushing with shopping carts and grandmothers fighting over parking spots. What a sight.

My lock my doors and rush into the mall as warm air blasts me in the face, to my relief.

I had shopping bags loaded on one of my arms, I just needed one more.

For Percy.

I had a slight idea of what to get him, I only hope he would like it. I head to the jeweler in the mall and pick up a seashell necklace on a thin brown rope. But I wasn't done yet, this goes way deeper than a seashell necklace.

On my drive out, I stop by an engraver. I drop it off with directions of what I wanted on it and he told me to come back at 4. I nod with a smile and head out. I hope that Percy will like it.

When I arrive back at the dorms, I'm shivering and I see Percy come over to greet me as I walk through the door.

He frowns at me shivering and takes me into his warm arms. He doesn't seem to care that I'm covered in snow, and he doesn't have a shirt on.

"I'm covered in snow Percy, I bet you're freezing by now." I look up into his beautiful sea green eyes that I'm in love with.

"And I bet you're warm now." He smirks.

It reminds me of the time he took the weight of the sky for me, he would do anything for me. My heart swells.

I get on my toes and press my lips to his as he wraps his arm around my waist. I ruffle his jet black hair and I smile in our kiss. He playfully moves his hands lower, and I slap them away with a grin as we come up for air.

"Hands off, Jackson." I laugh when he doesn't let me go.

"Never." he stares into my eyes with intensity, all serious. I'm nearly on the verge of tears from when the last time he said that.
