Alonzo*
I can't believe this Melissa is gone. I failed her. I was suppose to protect her. What am I gonna do? How can I tell Kwan that his mother is gone. And I didn't protect her from Jason. This shit is too much. Jalisha is the only other person who knew the access codes to my alarm system and the information on my private account. This is beyond me. After Jackson gave me something to calm me down I had to wait a hour before I drove. I'm headed home now. I couldn't get home fast enough. I pulled up in the yard all crookedly and jumped out. I ran in the house and slammed the door. Everyone was in the living room so it made this easy."Daddy why you got all that blood on you?" Amira asked.
"Baby don't ask me any questions right now. Can you and your brother please go to your room and close the door. Turn on the tv and don't come out until I say."
"What's wrong dad?" Kwan said.
"Son just go PLEASE!"
I waited until they was gone. And I went in on Jalisha ass.
"What the fuck did you do?" Alonzo asked.
"What you mean what did I do? I didn't do anything."
"You a fucking liar and I want the damn truth now."
Patrice jumped in.
"Wait son. What's wrong?"
"What's wrong is your lying betraying ass daughter."
"Excuse me now. Wait a minute. I'm still her mother and you ain't gonna talk to her like that."
"Well explain to me how this fucking crazy ass man got ahold to my private phone account and the passcode to my alarm system to my house where Melissa was staying?"
"Wait what?" Patrice said.
"Jalisha what the hell did you do?"
"Yeah please tell me why I just got to my house with the door wide open. Amy laid out on the floor and Melissa covered in blood!"
Patrice covered her mouth.
"Wait what? Is she ok."
My words got short and my voice started cracking.
"No mama she's not. She's dead."
"Wait come again? Did you say she was dead?"Patrice asked.
I put my hands over my face and fell to my knees.
"I failed her. This is all my fault. She's dead and it's all my fault."
Mama ran to me and I laid my head in her lap and cried like a baby.
"I never meant for none of this to happen. How could she be so selfish mama? She has caused my son his mama. How am I gonna tell him that his mama is gone and he will never see her again?"
Patrice sat there and rubbed my head. I cried even the more.
"Why mama why? She ruined our family. She just couldn't leave well enough alone."
