6 Years Later

Life has really been rough for us. Let me tell you the history of the last 6 years. Jalisha and I stayed together. We went through counseling to help us deal with the death of Melissa. I can't believe it's been 6 years since she has been gone. We still love and miss her. Jason still haven't been found. We still looking for his ass. But through all the mess we got a handsome son nam Kwan. Kwan and Amira are extremely close. It be times I wonder about those two. They are 16 years old now. Driving themselves to school and dating oh my. Do I like the fact that my daughter is dating? Hell no but what father will. Kwan is very protective of her as well. He runs off every man she tries to date. And she does the same thing. They both come running to me talking about the other clock blocking against the other. Mama Patrice end up moving to the city. She was there by herself and said she is needed more here with us. I let her move in the house that Melissa had. She changed all the locks and alarms. She is content there. 6 years living there with no bills but lights and water trust me she better be ok. Jalisha wanted another child but we never had one. We tired but nothing. I guess it's best anyway. With the kids 16 years old I really don't want to start over. Mandy and Matt ended up getting married. He was liking Jalisha but once we fixed things he stepped back. I'm glad Mandy got someone now. We double date from time to time but she mostly be with her husband.

I don't know what life will bring but I do know I don't want to live it without my family. Me and Jalisha have been married now for 16 years. Damn that's a long time. We love each other the more and I wouldn't trade life with nobody else. Now raising these teenagers is a handful but I'm ready to put forth the best foot. Jalisha heart has totally healed. I don't want nothing to trigger her at all. I love my wife and kids and that's all that matters to me.
