Jalisha*
The funeral was yesterday and I still haven't heard from Alonzo. I can't believe he's acting like this. I didn't mean for none of this to happen. I was only trying to save my family. This can't be the end of things. I haven't dressed up lately. I have been cooped up in this house just having myself a pity party. I love my family and was only trying to help. I can't do this I got to get out this house. I went and took me a shower and got dressed. I put on my make up and treated myself to a glass of wine.I must say I looked damn good today. My mom was coming over later to go eat lunch with me. That will be a relaxing time for me. A knock on the door took me out my thoughts. I got up and opened the door.
"Hello my name is Matthew Walker. I just moved next door and wanted to meet my new neighbor."
"Hey Matthew. My name is Jalisha Chapman."
"Nice to meet you. Everyone called me Matt for short so you can too."
"Thanks. I'll remember that. Would you like to come in."
"Sure I'll love to."
I let him in. He was a handsome man.
I closed the door behind him and offered him a glass of wine. He accepted and we sat down and talked.
"So what moved you to this side of town?"
"Well actually it's to this city. I got offered a job position at the hospital here and I wanted a neighborhood that was quiet."
"Oh really what hospital? "
"Shadow Creek Hospital."
"Wow that's where I work. What position did you get offered?"
"I was offered to do the conferences."
