Deceitfulness (The Sequel To Deception)

Chapter 10

I got to get to Melissa. She claims Jason found out her new cell. I'm trying to figure out how the hell did he get it. It's on a private account that I have on my account. No one knows that information but me and...wait. I know damn well Jalisha did not leak any information to Jason. I just know better. I walked out the room and grabbed my keys.

"Where you going?" Patrice asked?

"I need to go check on Melissa. She called me crying saying Jason got her number and threatened to kill her."

I looked in Jalisha eyes and she looked scared as hell. That was a sign to me.

"Umm bae let me ride with you." Jalisha said in a shaky voice.

"Why? You ain't been wanting to go so why go now?"

"I mean I said I was gonna try to fix this."

"Nah you say home with mama and the kids."

"But baby I... "

"NO!!!! I'm going by myself damn."

Patrice looked at me and saw the anger.

"Jalisha let that man be. Son go check on that woman. I got this here."

I ran to the car. It's a 20 minute drive to the house so I was speeding down the road.

Lord I pray he doesn't know she's back home. I took the side roads cutting the time in half and pulled up to the house. I noticed the door was open. That means the alarm is off. I jumped out running to the door and saw Amy laid out on the floor. My heart stopped. I leaned down to check her pulse she was still breathing. I called 911 and got someone of the way quick. This is not a good sign. I pray Melissa is ok. I walked up the steps walking slow and as soon as I turned the corner I fell to my knees.

All I saw was blood everywhere. Melissa was laying on the floor on her stomach. I got down on my knees and turned her over. My hands was shaking and I was breathing very fast. Once she was turned over she was lying there covered in blood. I took her pulse and she didn't have one. I immediately started doing CPR and putting pressure on her gunshot wounds. Before I could start good I was screaming.

"Baby don't leave me. Come on breathe."

Tears streaming down my face as I did CPR.

"Come on baby. Come baby. Don't do this to me. Come on Melissa."

I kept going until I heard the EMTs  come in. I yelled.

"Up here hurry."

They ran in and took over where I left off. Sam and Doug are good at their jobs but I don't know if they can save her. They put her on the stretcher and worked and worked. I called Jackson and told him what happened. He instructed me to tell them to load her and get her there now. They picked her up and got her loaded and went on. Amy had awakened and was fine. I jumped in my truck and followed them close. We was there in no time.

They rushed her in and took her in and they worked on her. I got blood all over me and was nervous as hell. They was at it over a hour now still now signs to what is going on. About 45 minutes later here comes Jackson. I jumped up and walked to him.

"Man what's going on is she ok?"

Jackson had this look that I know all too well.

"Alonzo I'm sorry man. I did all I could do but she's gone."

I broke down and screamed.

"Nooooo!"
