A Year Later

I sit at the edge of water in Asgard. I used the Infinity Stones to restore Asgard.

"You shouldn't sit out here alone," Loki says.

He sits beside me. I don't look at him. I just stare at the water. It's crazy that the water just falls.

"Do you think my dad's soul left the Soul Stone when I destroyed it?" I ask.

"I think so," Loki answers. I smile.

My dad can be at peace now.

I lean my head on Loki's shoulder. I take his hand and remember the day I made his hands warm.

"Maybe we'll all be together again one day," I whisper.

Loki smiles.

"Bold of you to assume that I won't be going to hell," Loki replies.

"You and my dad arguing about ridiculous things. I'm pretty sure it will be hell for you," I joke.

He feels joy. We've been in Asgard since I made it again. It's different a bit though. I made a coffee shop. They've been obsessed with it.

"Actually it would be wonderful if I could see my mother again," Loki says.

"You will, I'm absolutely sure Thor would go through each afterlife of heaven and hell to take you to Valhalla," I reply.

"I wouldn't go without you," Loki says.

I look at him.

"You could just duplicate into two and one can go with your family, other could stay with me," I suggest.

"Like Thor isn't going to make you all go to Valhalla with him," Loki replies.

I laugh.

"You're right, I would make you all come with me. Including your families," Thor says.

We all laugh this time.

"So this is where the royals hang out now," Valkyrie teases.

We all laugh. Valkyrie sits beside Thor. They're in love and I know it. Loki knows it too.

Valkyrie is more stubborn. Thor has been patient though. It's not like they're going to die anytime soon.

"You do have a point," Loki replies.

Of course I'm right. I can feel people's feelings. Valkyrie is just stubborn.

"See I told you they have that look like they can hear each other's thoughts," Valkyrie whispers to Thor.

"I beg your pardon?" Loki asks.

"Then beg," Thor says.

Loki frowns. We all laugh.

"So Loki and I have a certain look that makes you think we can hear each other's thoughts?" I ask.

"Yes. We noticed when we were on Sakaar but we didn't have much time to actually think about it. About a week ago we noticed it again," Valkyrie answers.

I look at Loki.

Should we tell them the truth or keep them guessing?

"We can tell them in a thousand years or so," Loki replies.

"I say we go get some coffee because I haven't had a cup today," I say.

"I don't drink coffee," Thor says.

"Neither do I," Valkyrie says.

"Well you guys can go to the bar next door," Loki replies.

Thor and Valkyrie smile at each other. We all get up at once. Valkyrie and Thor walk ahead of us.

Loki reaches down to hold my hand. We walk happy.

Thor and Valkyrie turn around very quickly. It makes me a little defensive first.

"I forgot that I came over to ask you something important," Thor says.

Loki and I raise an eyebrow at each other. Thor's important questions aren't very important as he thinks they are.

"What is it?" Loki asks.

"So Valkyrie and I were talking about we split ruling Asgard. Like Valkyrie and I could go save the universe for a century or even half a century then we switch with you and Davina," Thor explains.

I smile at Valkyrie.

"I think we should do it. Thor can have the first 50 years on the throne, we can go save the world," Loki suggests.

What about the people? Would they have a problem with it? We're not exactly from Odin's royal line.

"You however are worthy to rule. We both know the rules of Asgard. You'd be high ruler," Loki defends.

I look at Loki. I nod with a question look facial expression. Loki nods.

"I can live with that. Under two conditions," I say.

"What?" Valkyrie asks.

"We go first save the world for a century and you guys get 50 years. Secondly, you guys have to drink coffee with us right now," I answer.

"Brilliant."

Valkyrie and Thor give each other questionable.

"We'll discuss the final terms over coffee," Thor answers.

"What? Scared we're going to save the universe better than you?" Loki teases.

Thor has a vibe he is a little scared that we might.

"Of course not," Thor replies.

We continue walking to the coffee shop in laughter. Honestly the Revengers would make a great saving the universe team.

We all sit down at the coffee shop after ordering it. I lean forward.

"Let's talk terms," Loki says.

I love him so much. I'm glad we get to save the universe still. The universe always has another villain. We'd make a great team.

I hope I make my parents proud.
