I woke up the next morning to somebody shaking me awake.
"Sophia! Wake up!"
I recognized the voice immediately as Professor McGonagall. "Why?" I moaned.
"You're going to miss the train!" she said.
My head shot up as I looked at the clock. It read 10:30. The Hogwart's Express leaves at exactly 12:00.
I got out of bed quickly and ran to the bathroom to get ready for the day, "Thank you for waking me up," I said. Professor McGonagall signed and walked out the door, "Be ready to leave in fifteen minutes," she called back.
I hurriedly washed my face and brushed my teeth before I put my long hair in a side braid before I threw on a green shirt that matched my room and some white jeans.
I rushed down the stairs and into the Great Hall where I found the Weasleys waiting for me with Dumbledore. Mr. and Mrs. Weasley were talking to Dumbledore.
"Sophia!" Fred and George said running to me and giving me a bear hug. Even though they are a couple of years older than me they were my closest friends along with Ginny and at times Ron. The other Weasley boys were like overprotective brothers to me and were a little to old to be very close with.
The other Weasleys came over and gave me hugs. When the "family" reunion was over Mrs. Weasley came over and said, "We better get going, you don't want to miss the train on your first day." I grabbed my trunk and cage that held Astro in it.
Mr. Weasley told us that we were going to use Flew Powder to get to King's Cross Station.
Once we all got to the station we were led to platforms nine and ten. Mrs. Weasley said, "Well here we are. This place is crowded with muggles just like every year."
Confused, I asked "Where is platform 9 3/4?"
A boy with messy, dark hair and round glasses came over to us and also wanted to know how to get to Platform 9 3/4. I felt a certain bond with this boy like I would do anything to keep him safe. Mrs. Weasley explained how to get through the platform as I listened because I was also in the blue. "You just go in between platforms nine and ten. Best to do it at a bit of a run if you're nervous."
Fred and George went through the platform followed by Percy and Ron. Mrs. and Mr. Weasley took Ginny by the hand and went through the barrier. That left just the boy and I to go through.
"Together?" he asked.
"Together," I said.
We ran through the wall and looked at each other and smiled. Mrs. Weasley took us both by the arm and dragged us toward a train. I looked around and gaped. All around were people dressed in cloaks and there was a black train with red lining in front of us that read The Hogwarts Express.
"Come on now," Mr. Weasley said, "You don't want to miss the train do you? It leaves at exactly 12:00."
I looked at the clock. It read 11:55. I quickly gave Ginny a hug since she wouldn't be going to Hogwarts until next year. I thanked Mr. and Mrs. Weasley and then boarded the train. The boy with the glasses and messy hair wasn't in sight.
I found an empty compartment and put my trunk in the storage area. I then took Astro out of his carrier and held him in my lap. Dumbledore had told me that the train ride was about two and a half hours long and I prayed that Astro wouldn't have to go to the bathroom on the way. I took a book out of my trunk and started reading it. It was about unicorns and other creatures that live in the Forbidden Forest on the outskirts of Hogwarts.
After a while of reading Ron came in the compartment with an uneasy look on his face and sat down. "What is it Ron?" I asked.
"Nothing," he said, "It's just that Mom packed me a tuna sand witch, which she knows I don't like."
I knew it was more than that but I didn't feel like asking so I went back to reading my book. A couple minutes later Ron opened his mouth to say something but closed his mouth again. "What is it Ron?" I asked getting a bit annoyed.
"Nothing," he said as he got up and walked out of the compartment. I shook my head and decided to go ahead and change into my robes. I shut Astro into his cage as he whined. "Sorry, boy but I'll be right back," I said as I walked off to find the bathroom.
After I had changed I walked back to the compartment and found that it wasn't empty. Ron and the boy with the messy hair were sitting there eating all sorts of candy I assume they had bought from the trolley. "I really need to find out that boy's name," I told myself.
"Hi," I said putting my clothes in my trunk and getting Astro out of his cage.
"Hi, cute puppy," the boy with messy hair said.
"Thanks," I said as I watched the boy run his fingers through his hair. I noticed something I hadn't noticed before. This boy had a lightning shaped scar on his forehead, almost identical to the one on my neck.
"Sophia?" Ron said. I was too shocked to reply.
"Sophia?" Ron repeated noticeably nervous now.
"Is she okay," the boy with the scar asked.
"I'm fine," I snapped. The boy with the scar looked hurt which made me feel a little guilty but didn't stop me from fuming. "Is this what you wanted to tell me earlier?" I asked Ron. At the tone of my voice Astro started growling which made Ron jump back in his seat. It was actually funny but I was still angry. "Well?" I questioned.
Ron nodded his head and said in a desperate voice, "I can explain."
"No you can't," I said. I was so mad I bet you could practically see smoke coming out of my ears.
"Should I leave?" the boy said.
"No," Ron and I said at the same time staring at each other.
"Then will someone please tell me what's going on?" the boy said becoming agitated.
"What's your full name?" I asked.
"Harry James Potter," Harry said confused. I wasn't going to get my hopes up, not yet.
"When is your birthday and how old are you?" I questioned.
"July 31 and I am 11," Harry said looking even more confused. It couldn't be could it?
"Last question: what are your parents names'?" I said.
"Lily and James Potter, but their dead now," he answered gloomily.
"How did they die?" I said my voice barely a whisper.
"They were killed by Voldemort when I was a year old," Harry answered. His voice was also a whisper.
In a daze I moved my braid out of the way to reveal my scar. Harry's eyes widened. "Harry, I think that you're my brother," I said, my voice in monotone.
