"Oh my gosh," Harry said dumbfounded.
Tears were now coming to my eyes. "Don't cry, d-don't cry," I told myself, but it was no use the tears were now freely running down my face. "I'm sorry, I don't usually cry," I apologized. I looked at Harry and to my surprise he looked like he was on the verge crying. It was an even greater surprise when Harry leaned across the compartment and gave me a hug.
After we got over all of the tears we ate candy and bonded, Ron included. Harry loved Astro and showed me his Snowy Owl named Hedwig. I thought that Hedwig was beautiful and Harry said I could use her to deliver mail since I don't have an owl. Ron and I also got a lot of laughs in because Harry had grown up with our Muggle aunt and uncle. He also told us about our cousin Dudley and how much of a pig he is. Because Harry grew up with Muggles he didn't know anything about wizard candy.
"What's this?" Harry asked holding a chocolate frog.
"That's a chocolate frog," I answered snickering.
"What?" Harry questioned with a disgusted look on his face.
"It's not a real frog it's just a spell to make it move," Ron laughed, "besides it's the cards you want."
Harry opened the case and a Chocolate Frog jumped out. "Watch it," I said as the frog got closer to the window. Harry tried to catch the frog but it was too fast and the frog jumped out the window and we all started cracking up.
Finally we got around to talking about school. "What House do you think you will get in?" Ron asked.
"What's a House?" Harry asked. During all the talking I forgot that he barely knew anything about Hogwarts.
"A House is where your dormitory is and the people in your House are the people you have most of your classes with," I responded, "There are four Houses. Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, and Slytherin. Personally, I hope I get in Gryffindor but I wouldn't mind Ravenclaw."

"Everyone in my family have gotten in Gryffindor, so I hope to too," Ron said. "But, " he added, "anything is better than Slytherin. There's not a bad wizard that wasn't in Slytherin."
"I don't know, but if you guys want Gryffindor, I guess I do too," Harry stated.
A girl with frizzy brown hair came into our compartment and said "Has anyone seen a toad. Neville's lost it." She had a bossy sort of voice. I shook my head no. I didn't even know a boy named Neville.
Ron completely ignored the question and asked us if we want to see him turn his rat named Scabbers yellow.
The girl with frizzy hair heard and said "Well, let's see it."
Ron stared her down then cleared his throat and said
"Sunshine, daisies, butter mellow.
Turn this stupid, fat rat yellow."

He tapped Scabbers with his wand but the only thing that happened was that the box of candy he was eating from fell on the ground. Harry and I laughed and Ron glared at us then laughed too.
"Are you sure that that's a real spell. If it is it's not a very good one," the girl said, "By the way, I'm Hermione Granger and you have dirt on your nose." She pointed at Ron and them left the room.
Ron wiped his nose (Where the dirt was) and said, "Can you believe her? She's completely mental, she is."
I shrugged and said, "She's probably not like that all the time. It's the first day, she was probably nervous." I just remembered what Mr. Ollivander had told me about my wand. I decide to tell Harry and Ron in case they could explain it a little more to me. "Harry, Ron?" I said as they looked up at me, "Mr. Ollivander told me something weird about my wand. He told me that my wand and Voldemort's wand have a connection. He told me that Voldemort can't kill me because of this connection. He also said that there was another wand that hadn't been bought yet that shared the same bond," I said hurriedly. I looked at them. Ron was grinning ear to ear and Harry looked dumbfounded.
"Harry?" I questioned.
He looked up at me and whispered, "Mr. Ollivander told me the same thing about my wand. This must mean that I got the wand that was not bought yet when you went, so Voldemort can't kill me either." I smiled. This meant that the wizard who is out to kill us can't kill us.
"The best news is that he doesn't know that he can't kill you," Ron interjected. Harry and I smiled at each other as we went back to eating candy and talking.
"Students, we will be arriving at Hogwarts in half an hour," a voice said on the intercoms, "Please change into your robes if you haven't already." Harry and Ron went to go change and I was left alone in the compartment. I gave Astro a couple of treats and then went back to reading my book. After only a couple of minutes of reading I heard a knock. Thinking that Ron and Harry were back I told them to come in.
"Hi," a voice said. It wasn't Harry or Ron. I looked up. It was Draco.
"Hi," I replied. Looking back down at my book.
"I just wanted to wish you good luck at the sorting and that I'm here if you need a friend," he said looking unsure.
"T-thanks?" I responded confused. Just then Harry and Ron came back in and looked at us bewildered. Draco gave me one last look and disappeared from our compartment.
"What did he want?" Ron asked.
"He was just wishing me good luck," I said.
"Who was that?" Harry asked.
"Draco Malfoy, all so high and prestigious. I heard that his parents used to be Death Eaters and he thinks that he is better than everyone else," Ron said.
"What are Death Eaters?" Harry asked.
"Followers of Voldemort," I said.
"Why would he be talking to you?" Harry asked getting overprotective.
"Just forget about it," I said. But I couldn't forget about it. Why would Draco Malfoy, of all people say that to me? Sure we had talked a couple of times but we weren't good friends or anything. My thoughts were interrupted when the voice came over the intercom again and said that we had arrived at our destination. I looked out of the window and heard Harry gasp as he followed my gaze.
The peaks of Hogwart's many towers were just showing over the horizon.
