Something was tickling my nose. I slowly sat up from my bed, still drowsy from sleeping. I looked around and saw that there was a note taped onto the left post of my bed. I grabbed the note.
It read:
Hello, Cheese Ball, meet us by the dining hall in ten minutes.
From,
F and G
"Cheese Ball," I thought. I hate that nickname. Last time I went to the Weasley's I started calling Fred and George Freddie and Georgie to distract them from playing Quidditch right. However, my plan sorely backfired and they started to call me Cheese Ball. Don't ask me why because I don't know, I don't even like cheese.
I hopped out of bed and opened my trunk, careful not to wake the others. Since it was still dark outside I decided on wearing a black top and some camo jeans. I went to the bathroom and found that where I felt something tickle my nose there was a red welt. I quickly pulled my hair into a braid down my back. I quickly made my way down the stairs and hurried into the Great Hall. There was nobody there.
Behind me, there was a creak of a floorboard. I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned around and saw Fred and George. "You wanted me?"
"Yes," Fred replied.
"Why weren't you scared? That used to scare the crap out of you." George said and Fred snickered. It was true. One year, when I was probably five or six years old, they had pulled that prank on me and I had peed myself. Even though it was a long time ago I have always remembered that awful, horrible day in November.
"I grew up," I say superiorly.
"I hope you're not too grown up , because we've got a little game we would like for you to help us with," Fred said mischievously.
"Is it something that involves Snape and hair dye?" I ask wearily. Fred and George love to tell people about the pranks they do so they usually forget who they already told. At the end of a good prank you could hear about it three or four times by the end of the day.
George narrows his eyes at me and asks, "How did you know?"
"You told me yesterday," I said.
"Told you we told her," Fred smirks.
"You said that we didn't tell her," George replies.
"No you didn't."
"Yes I did!"
"Okay, back on track," I say because I know that this could go on for thirty minutes if I don't break up the thing now. I then put two and two together and realize where the welt on my nose came from. I point to my nose and sigh, "What is this all about?"
"What is what all about?" George asks clueless.
"My nose," I state getting irritated.
Fred gives up the act and says, "We had to make sure you would come so even if you decided you weren't going to do the prank you would come back to get the welt removed."
"Makes sense," I frown, "Do you have anything for it?
George takes a blue candy out of his pocket and tosses it at me, "Catch."
I do and look at it uncertainly. I unwrap the royal blue wrapper and stare down at the sweet before me. It is a reddish-pink, the same exact color as my welt. "Are you sure this will help?"
"Nope, but you may as well try it," Fred replies.
I take one last look at the bonbon and popped it into my mouth.

We started off for Snape's dormitory about seven minutes ago. Somewhere along the way my welt had disappeared. I was happy about that and so were the twins. I sensed that they were not only happy about a new invention but also happy that my face was back to normal. They know me better than anyone, even Harry, so they know how I react to things. And let me tell you, it's not pretty.
Fred and George had already explained the plan to me many times, but I kept forgetting. "Wait, so what's the plan again?"
They just sighed and George said, "We get into his room and replace his hair products with pink hair dye, then we put this," he holds up a small candy wrapped in a purple wrapper, "in his hair so he will have to wash his hair. Who knows, maybe it will be the first time he has washed his hair in weeks or even months."
We burst out laughing and I said, "Maybe you're right. What does it do?"
"It squirts out orange liquid all over him," George said with another laugh.
"Be quiet," Fred snapped, "We're here." We were standing in front of a heavy, wooden door.
"How do we get in?" I ask.
"Alohamora," George says like it's the most obvious thing in the world.
I think about the situation at hand. It would be too easy to get into a teacher's dorm. "I don't think that will work. It would be too easy to break into a Professor's dorm. There's probably some complicated spell on the door."
"We didn't think about that," Fred admitted.
"That's why we needed you, to be smart," George joked, "Do you know any way to get through it?"
"Let me think," I said. Snape isn't the brightest of people when it comes to charms. He, however, went to school at Hogwarts so he knows some advanced spells. But, something tells me that I'm overcomplicating things. Something, that is on the tip of my tongue.
"He has a key," I blurt out.
"A magical key?" Fred said.
"No, a normal key," I replied.
"That is magical to us," George said with a smirk.
"Oh, be quiet," I snapped. I looked around and at the door. Snape isn't so dumb as to keep a spare key by the front of his door but he might just keep it close enough to get quickly in case he forgot his other key. I look around the corridor, searching for something out of place. My eyes scan the hallway and then I see it, a potted plant with a stem that is braided together and leaves a dark shade of purple. Something that is so beautiful, yet so mysterious. Something that would never belong in a school of magic.
I walked over to the shrub. The key must be someplace that someone walking by would see it. Somewhere you would have to be looking for it to find it. I reached my hand into the leaves of the purple vegetation and my hand closed over the key. I pulled my arm out of the bush and studied the valuable inside of my hand. It was the same shade of purple as the shrub it lay in. I walked over to where Fred and George were waiting and stuck the key into the key hole. I turned the doorknob and the door swung open.
We stepped inside the doorway and Fred nodded, "Fill up the shampoo, we'll do the candy."
I nodded and tiptoed into the bathroom. I quickly filled his soap with the bubblegum-pink hair dye and left the bathroom. Fred and George were waiting by the door. I gave them a quick nod to show that I had done my job and together we left the apartment. I returned the key to its spot and we hurried back up the stairs into our own dorm. I could barely contain my laughter and when we finally made it back to the common room we each burst out laughing.

The next day, I went to each of my classes like on a normal day. But it wasn't a normal day, because when I got to Potions my Professor's hair was the same greasy black it has always been. The only difference was that his hair had a bald spot in the middle where it looked like he had to cut a certain candy out of his hair.
