When I woke up the next morning I immediately knew that some thing was off. For one thing, the dorm was empty. For another, I could hear groans from downstairs. I quickly threw on my robes and went down the stairs carrying Astro. As soon as I made it to the bottom of the steps Harry came over to me. He looked as though he were about to pull his hair out.
"We have flying lessons with the Slytherins today," he said with a blank expression on his face. This was news to me, we only had potions with the Slytherins, and now they are making us fly with them too.
"That is going to be fun," I mumbled. Just then Fred and George came over to us and George said, "I bet that someone is going to fall off of their broom ten minutes into class."
"Well, I think that someone is going to be pushed off their broom five minutes into class," Fred said.
"Look, Neville's got a Remembrall!" some called from across the room. I had read about those before, they turn red when you forget something. Thank gosh that Neville had gotten one of those, he always forgot things.

The day had gone by quietly so far, but it was about to get tested. Next period we had the flying lessons with the Slytherins. As soon as the bell rang I grabbed Hermione's hand and led her to the lawn where the flying lessons would take place.
"Why are we going so early?" Hermione questioned.
"Why do you care," I said, "you are early to almost all of your classes?"
She sighed and nodded her head as we made it to the lawn. We spent our extra time catching up on homework, which was projects that weren't due for another couple of weeks. We still had about fifteen minutes until class started when Draco and his "bodyguards" Crabbe and Goyle came down the stairs and walked over to us.
Draco looked uneasy as he walked over to where we were sitting. He looked at Hermione with a look of disgust and then turned to me. "Can I talk to you?" he asked.
I looked at Hermione, and she gave me a nod. I followed Draco into the edge of the forest. "So, you wanted to talk to me?" I said. It was more of a question.
"Yeah," He said, "I just wanted to make sure that we're good and are still friends."
"Yes, I don't know why we wouldn't be," I said.
He just nodded and said, "Well, bye," and he walked off.
Confused, I went back to where Hermione was sitting. "What was that all about?" she asked.
"Literally nothing," I responded. After a couple more minutes of working people started to file into "class." Madam Hooch then came in. She had short, grey hair and yellow eyes. In all honesty, she creeped me out.
"Stand by a broom, everyone," she said. I looked at the ground. About thirty or so broomsticks had appeared. I walked up to the one closest to me with Hermione on one side and Harry on the other.
"Now, put your right hand over the broom and say UP," Madam Hooch said.
I did as she said and said, "Up." As soon as I said this my broom shot up into my hand. As I looked around I saw that Harry and Draco were the only other people that had gotten their broom up. I laughed at Hermione's frustration when her broom kept rolling over and over.
Once everybody got a hold of their broom, Madam Hooch told us to mount the broomstick and to kick off the ground. But Neville had already done that. He went higher and higher and then dropped. Madam Hooch then ran over to him and informed us that she was taking him to the hospital wing.
"If your feet come off of the ground you be out of Hogwarts faster than you can say Quidditch," she said. She then turned to Neville and helped him walk towards the hospital wing. As soon as they were out of sight. Draco then picked something off the ground which I recognized to be Neville's Remembrall.
"Look what Longbottom dropped," he said.
"Give it here, Malfoy," Harry said. I didn't want there to be a fight so I stepped in.
"Both of you quit it," I said, "Draco put it down." Draco ignored me and rose off the ground on his broomstick.
"If you want it you have to get it," he sneered. Harry then mounted his broom and went up into the air. I wasn't going to let Harry go up there alone so I did the same.
"No, you'll get in trouble," I heard Hermione say, but I ignored her as I rose to where the boys were.
"Stop it now!" I said.
They ignored me and Draco dropped the Remembrall. Harry went and dived for it. I gave Draco the Death Stare and I could have sworn that I saw him cringe. I then dived myself and was just in time to see Harry catch it and fall safely to the ground. I said, "Harry here." He threw the ball to me as I caught it and quickly flew over to where Neville had dropped it and returned it safely to the ground.
I heard cheers and Harry and I were given hugs. The fun soon ended when someone shouted, "HARRY AND SOPHIA POTTER!" I recognized the voice immediately as Professor McGonagall. My heart dropped as I turned to see her staring down at me.
We followed her into Hogwarts. She then knocked on a door and said something to someone inside. Then a boy appeared. He looked a couple years older than us and had brown hair and eyes. He was very tall and wore a confused expression on his face. "Professor?" he said.
"This is Oliver Wood," Professor McGonagall said, "Wood, I have found you a Seeker and Chaser."
"What?" I said, "So we aren't in trouble?"
"Heavens, no. Why would you be in trouble?" she asked.
"No reason," Harry said quickly.

The rest of the day went by quickly and detention was awful. The whole time Snape kept questioning me on herbs and ingredients on potions that were much more advanced than first years. The worst parts was that every time I got a question wrong he would take half a point away from Gryffindor. By the end of detention Snape had taken away two points.
Even though I was mad about detention, I couldn't help but be excited. Barely any first years made the Quidditch team and even better, Harry was going to be doing it with me!
By the time I got back to the Gryffindor common room it was almost nine. I went straight up to my room and went straight to bed. As soon as my head hit the pillow I was asleep. I didn't even change my clothes.
