She woke up in the beautiful bedroom of their suite, he was trailing small kisses down her belly. "What are you doing?"
"Loving you," he said and went back to the slow burn of teasing hot breath against her skin. "Want me to stop?"
She laughed, "Not particularly. But why don't you come back up here and show me what that mouth was made for?"
"And that is?"
Gwen groaned, "Kissing me."
It wasn't long before passion took them over and she found herself completely wrapped up in him. He kept up the rhythm they both loved.
He stopped, he was buried inside her so tight it ached, his chin rested on the top of her head, his hands cradled her face gently. Gwen's ankles were crossed tightly at his lower back, her hands gathered his t-shirt high on his shoulders fisted tight, she whined a little but stayed still. Liam brushed her hair off her face, but he didn't move his chin, she knew he was asking her something important, but all she could hear was the gentle rumbling from his chest. "Liam, sweetheart, I can't hear you."
"Do you love me?" Liam shifted his head only a small amount to the side but she heard him plain enough that time. Her heart skipped a beat, she really wasn't ready to face that question with him yet. She was quiet a moment longer before she gathered up the strength to answer him. "Yes. But it will be okay, Liam. When you leave me, I'll be alright. I'm not saying it will be easy, but worth it. Now, move."
Liam did move, slowly, a few times; he grabbed her thigh and cradled her head in the other hand, his mouth was at her ear, "Complicated girl."
He left a trail of small kisses all over her face, going nowhere, with no particular destination in mind. He rose up to look at her, his hands were back in her hair, "You're so beautiful."
"Liam."
"You are!" he insisted.
Gwen wasn't sure where this was going, but she had a feeling her heart was going to be broken at the end of it. "You can only see blurry glimpses of me. Please, you're making me anxious, like I'm about to lose something I never really had in the first place." The tear that dampened the pillow would go unnoticed, she didn't worry about it. Instead, she grabbed his head and made him kiss her, hold her, if this was the last time it would have to be her best reminder of him.
Their lovemaking was fitful, erratic, but full of everything she had. He laid boneless on top of her, her lungs barely able to work, his body was like a furnace, but she didn't ask him to move. Gwen ran her fingers through his sandy locks, the other hand played absentmindedly with the ridges of muscle along his back. He hummed appreciatively and pretended to snuggle in for a nap. It wasn't long before he rose up to look at her, he'd gained enough sight to see colors and distinguish things better but his sight still lacked clarity, possibly always would. The doctor had said that it was hard to say. She couldn't handle even that much scrutiny, she closed her eyes and let her head fall to the side. Liam kissed her cheek, "Gwen, will you look at me?"
"I don't know if I can, Liam."
Liam gently nudged her chin towards him, "Please, baby, just look at me. I promise it'll all be over in a second."
She opened her eyes and looked up at him, every detail of his face, his eyes last, "Okay, you've got my full attention, Major."
"Very funny," he said as he leaned down and kissed her once more. He was serious when he rose back up, "Did you mean what you said?"
"Yes."
"You think I'm going to leave you."
Gwen sighed, "You're laying on top of me so I can't get away."
