"Why exactly are you trapping me in my own kitchen?"

Eilis McNeil slightly glared at Newt, who was towering over her. After she had successfully calmed Y/N down, she baked crepes for them and Newt. Then, once they finished their breakfast, Y/N began excitedly speaking to Thomas; giving Newt the chance to shove Eilis into the kitchen.

"I'm not trapping you," he reasoned, mostly to himself.

The Irish woman cocked an eyebrow at him. "Really, is that so? What do you call pushing me in here the second the children aren't looking then?"

Newt sighed, shaking his head. "I just need to ask you something."

"Please make it quick then, Mister Scamander. I have a tiny child I'm not allowed to see very often here, and I have a feeling they'll become restless."

The wizard nodded sharply, then, taking a deep breath, asked her. "Did you know for a  while that Y/N has telekinetic powers?"

Eilis' face contorted into confusion. "Pardon?"

"They have abilities beyond human nature, almost even wizard nature. Y/N can move solid objects with only their mind. No wand, no spoken-."

"I know what they are," she interrupted him, a bit agitated. "just...how did I never see it?"

Newt tilted his head. "You didn't?"

She scoffed. "No, no I bloody didn't! Her father was a wizard, but I had no idea he was a telekinetic."

"He went to Hogwarts?" Newt gasped.

"The man was a wizard like you, of course he went to Hogwarts!" Eilis said with sarcasm.

Newt pursed his lips. "Did you happen to know what his name was?"

She shook her head. "My mother and father graduated with him. They said he was quiet, but talked to him from time to time."

"What year did they graduate?"

Eilis stared down at the floor, thinking. She looked back up at him. "I can't remember."

He sighed. "And Y/N's parents were never married, so we don't know what his surname truly was-."

"Grace took his name,"

Newt paused as Eilis interrupted him, then he asked. "What?"

"Neither of them had enough money to be officially married, but Grace still took his name.  Wish fulfillment I guess."

The magizoolgist took a deep breath to process everything before saying. "I'm going to have to go back to Hogwarts."

"And do what exactly?" She asked, snapping a little.

Newt moved to leave the kitchen. "To find out who the L/N's truly are."

Eilis grimaced. "You won't find anything than what we've already figured out."

"How are you sure?"

"I just know it."

The man glanced at her one last time. "I beg to differ,"

Then, he left. When he entered the main part of the bakery, Newt's eyes brightened slightly at the sight of Y/N and Thomas laughing at each other.

Several of the customers began to stare at the children; some with disgust, others with admiration and patience on their faces. Newt walked up to the two at the table, and greeted them.

"Hello,"

Y/N and Thomas stopped laughing, and glanced up at him in curiosity. Thomas spoke first. "He-hello, sir."
