Written In The Keys

Jeffery's POV

It was now time for the riddle and you could tell that everyone wanted to win this, especially Nicky, or she would be dead.  Clifford gathered us all outside to give us the first clue to basically our life line at this point. Clifford handed us each a card with numbers on it. Mine read 

917: Teps Merca Spersreu Rtmei Velre Mobo 

Clifford read the card 'Everyone was all mixed up when their alarm clocks changed times, each with their different times. Instead of 8:00 it was earlier. Can you put the clues together and follow the steps?'

Everyone rushed to different places. I for one went into the living room and began to unscramble the letters and numbers. I noticed that Clifford put a special twist on the word mixed. Then it made sense, everything was mixed up! 

Sarah's POV

I realized what i was supposed to do and I saw Jeffery in the living room as well. I grabbed another pen and started ti unscramble the words. I realized the numbers were the times that our alarm clock went off. the numbers were 9, 1, and 7. The times could be

9:17

1:19

7:19

We didn't wake up at one or nine, so 7:19 was my logical answer. 

The next word: TEPS. I tried to make a word with each of the letters until i reached S. STEPS. I whispered to Jeffery, Steps. He shook his head yes and we ran up the steps to see everyone looking around in every single room. We both took our pens out and started to unscramble the next word. I used the same strategy as I did before and the word that made sense was camera and just as I was about to say it, Jeffery whispered camera to me. We looked around and saw five cameras posted around the room. Jeffery and I walked to two different cameras and pulled out the card from underneath them. 'I have set up cameras to watch each one of you individually. Where do I have the monitors, only the riddle reveals. Follow  this next word to lead you to your victorious win. Sperpseru 

Nicky's POV 

I didnt know where the heck i was going, but i saw Jeffery and Sarah near the stairs with card in their hands. I looked where they were standing near and i saw cameras. I went to the next camera i saw and i grabbed the car. I read it, but what did SPERPSERU mean? Soon everyone found a camera and was reading the card. Soon Sarah and Jeffery had disappeared and i had no clue what to do now. Everyone else was looking around scratching their heads. 

"We can all be clueless together now." I said and earned glares. "Tough crowd." I said and walked away. I found Sarah in living room and Jeffery in the lounge. Who was i going to follow and cheat off of? I decided to cheat off of Sarah but she was gone, i guess it was going to be Jeffery, but he was gone as well.

Danny's POV

Sarah and Jeffery had filled Jake and I about what was going on and how they had found out about the cameras. We all sat down and started to think about the next word. Jake next whispered/yelled to all of us,  "Pressure." I sat/ leaped up out of the chair and ran down to where the pressure plate had been. I noticed that the corner of one of the tiled had been lifted. I bent down and lifted the tile. I saw a card and waved everyone over. They all grabbed a card and read the cards in their heads. It read ' Congratulations, you have unscrambled all the words, but stairs and pressure aren't all the keys to this riddle. Find the one that fits." 

Jake's POV

I thought of the room with all the keys to various keys to different rooms in the manor (yeah they have a room for keys). The problem is, none of them are labeled. I waved everyone to follow me and they did so. I ran past the lounge to the room. I already saw Nicky though, how was she there already? 

Nicky's POV

I had been eavesdropping on them the whole time, i had gotten to the closet before them and I started ti read the card that was in the closet. ' You have unlocked the golden clue to this riddle. Find the clue and unlock what it leads to. The knob matches the key color, but there are over 50 different keys? Which one unlocks the high stakes? 

I had to get out of the closet because honestly the smell was horrible. By the time I had figured out that they key was golden, the other team had already figured it out and was splitting up the keys. They can now cover more ground then me. I took all the keys that were gold and all together there were 16. Perfect, lets just hope that i find the right key first.

Jeffery's POV

 I noticed each of the keys had numbers and some had question marks. There were 4 1's, 4 2's, 4 3's, and 4 question marks.. Two keys each on each floor. We took the most fit person and gave them the keys with the question marks, in this case it was me.

Sarah - 1st Floor

Danny- 2nd Floor

Jake-3rd Floor

Me- ? Marks

We all split and knew that at least one us were going to solve this riddle. 

Nicky's POV

I was lost at this point i almost gave p. It was impossible for me to try and open 16 doors and only one would be right. But i got this rush of adrenaline because my life was on the line. I needed to do this, not only for me, but for everyone else that loved me. I wondered if they were searching for me, or any of us. Are our bodys shipped to our families and just left to grieve, or are we just going to be marked missing and let our case run cold. How could they find us though? There were no phones in any of the house except the one in the kitchen, but it was kept under a lock and key. Wait forget about this riddle, we need to find the key to unlock the phone! I ran to the key room and grabbed all the silver keys. There were only 20 keys, but i was going to try every single one to get that case unlocked. I ran to the case and was trying the keys. I had tried 5, but none of them worked. I was on my last three keys and then i heard a blood curdling scream for help.
