Donut and the bouncer dapped up, the velvet rope came down - much to the grumbling of the waiting crowd - and the crew strolled through Sweat's plush entrance like they owned the place.
"Damn," Romeo whispered. "This joint is like...Heaven."
Tonya rolled her eyes. "You have a pretty triflin' view of Heaven, Romulus."
Trey shook his head as he took in the hundreds of women gyrating on the dance floor and primping at the oversized bar. "No," he said, bumping fists with Romeo. "It is Heaven."
"Whatever," Tonya said. "Dough, you see any open tables?"
"Don't need to worry about that," he said waving his tickets. "We're up in VIP - got a reserved table with bottle service and all the fineries."
"Whaaaat!?" Trey and Romeo chimed in together.
"That's right, ninjas. We're gonna be playin' it close, like butter on toast."
Donut led the way churning through the crowd like an ice cutter while Tonya brought up the rear, cock-blocking every chance encounter Romeo and Trey came across with an upheld palm and quick shake of her head.
Donut flashed their tickets, yet another velvet rope came up and after climbing five short steps, the crew stopped and gaped in wonder. Sweat's VIP section lived up to its name. Thirty six-person cabanas rung the perimeter, each outfitted with a forty inch high-def flat screen, six oversized lounging chairs, a small buffet table stocked with four warming trays, a wet bar and two attendants - one incredible buff male and an equally buff female both in tight fitting attire.
A hostess checked their tickets and walked them over to Cabana Eight.
"Damn,” Tonya purred eying their waiter. “Maybe it is Heaven,' He returned her smile until he saw Donut's scowl.
The crew settled in like little kids at an amusement park while their two waiters reviewed the perks that were now available to them.
"I'm your attendant Katrina and this is LaMar. Anything you need, just ask. You'll note on the flatscreen we have views of each dance floor with a caption of the track currently playing. You can listen to the audio at any time by clicking the floor button on your lounger - the speakers are built into the headrest. You can also switch over to satellite TV at any time. You can use your lounger remote and the flatscreen to order whatever dishes you like. Unfortunately, your entrees aren't comped so the prices will appear as well so we'll need to hold a credit card. Your drinks are comped up to $100 and you also get a complimentary bottle of Crystal champagne. If you feel the need for privacy, the outer curtains close and there's a button on your lounger remote to alert us to remain outside. Private restrooms are at the far end. Shall we get started?"
"You all gonna want something to eat?" Donut asked.
"Hell yeah," Romeo said.
"Hit homegirl up with your credit card."
Romeo made a show of feeling for his wallet. "Damn, Dough," I think I left my joint in Trey's car."
Donut looked Trey's way.
"Dough, you know I can't get any credit."
Tonya reached for her purse. "Y'all some triflin' ninjas. Just plan on getting steak and caked the whole way, huh?"
Donut held up a hand. "Ain't no way you're payin'. I got you...and apparently these two broke asses as well." He forked over his Amex and Katrina and LaMar vanished.
Romeo headed to the bar while Trey sank into a lounger and started listening to the dance floor tracks. "I'm a tighten you up, Dough. I won't leave you hanging."
