Chapter 10: Late Night

Emersons POV:

If Lily could here the wolves talk in her head then she knew what words sounded like. I could teach her to speak.

I mean sure she'd never really here anything but still she could talk with out her hands or notes.

I walked Lily to her car where her brothers stood. Smiling she hugged me tightly.

Pushing a little note in my hand she turned getting in the back seat of the car.

Waving I watched her drive away. She waved back with and little smile which was about the cutest thing Ive ever seen.

Opening the note it wrote, At 9 come to my house my windows the third from the left. I hope your a good catcher.

How cute she wanted me to sneek her out her window.

I trotted over to my car smiling like an idiot.

Seven gave me a weird look and I just waved him off. He got into the drivers seat and turned the key starting the engine.

I was oblivious to his questions or choice of music.

I couldn't wait to start helping her talk because then I could here he voice.

Getting to the pack house I ran in and grabbed my jacket and then changing. Seven came in as I slid my jacket on with that goofy smile still on my face.

"What the hell is wrong with you. Ive never seen you so happy," Seven asked.

I said nothing but sat down staring at the numbers on my phone trying to will them to say 9.

"Dude Im talking to you,"Seven yelled hitting my shoulder.

"What!" I said lifting my head up.

"Just cause you found your mate doesnt mean you have to ignore the rest of the world," Seven folded his arms standing in front of me.

I scowled,"Why not you did."

He didnt say anything just huffed and sat down ignoring me.

I sat on my bed and played with my phone bored as hell and I missed Lily.

"So uh when is Willow coming back?" I asked watching Seven play his video game. Well my video game.

"Sometime tommorow I think," Seven said thoughtfully.

 There was a knock at the door so I stood up and opened it to see my mom.

"Emerson, the Holmes are coming over for dinner in an hour you need to be dressed and down here to meet them."

I nodded and she left swiftly closing my door in my face.

Sighing I walked towards my closet grabbing a nice shirt and tie then slid on a pair of slacks.

"Seven that means you too," I commented as he gave me the finger.

Finishing my tie Seven stood giving me a thumbs up.

Lilifrets POV

So aparently we were going to the pack house to have dinner with Emerson and his family plus the beta family.

Emersons mom did mention it but I really didnt care at the time.

It was 4 and we were supposed to be there at 5. I couldnt decide what to wear.

I wanted to look nice but not look like I was trying to hard.

 Seeing a cream color casual dress in the back I grab it along with a sweater. Pulling it on quickly I put a circle necklace on.

Then I stepped into my black pantyhose. I slid on my black flats and then grabbed my purse. I looked really nice.

My outfit wasnt to complicated or to plain.

I went down stairs to see my family was ready.

Everyone looked nice. We filed in the car and my father drove to the pack house.

My mother turned around saying,"Jeremy will meet us there."

Nudging Coopers arm I signed,' Is your mate coming?'

He nodded yes and then said, "So is Micheals and Zekes"

I smiled they were all super nice girls, but since they were older they didnt want to hang out with me except Coopers mate.

Pulling up I jumped out heading straight for the door I didnt knock just walked straight in and up the stairs.

I remebered where the room was and I cracked the door open seeing if he was in there.

Seven looked over and gestured to the bathroom door.

I walked in and sat on the bed then when Emerson didnt come out of the bathroom I went over to the door.

Finally the door opened. He stood there looking extemly formal and handsome.

"Hey Seven did they get here yet?" I watched him say.

"Mhm Its kinda sad you didnt figure that out,"Seven said looking at me.

Emerson turned and smiled. I smiled back.

"I missed you." he said kissing my cheek.

I nodded as to say the same.

It had only been 2 hours and I had really missed him.

 "Come on I think dinners about to start without us,"Emerson said taking my hand.

Seven stood and followed us.

Everyone was in the dinning room sitting. I sat next to Emerson and my brother Cooper.

We all started to eat and everyone was talking.

I sat and watched everyone talk and laugh I felt sort of left out.

Even Emerson was talking to my brothers about football I think.

I had finished my food and was stuffed. Everyone was smiling and Emersons mom was talked to my mother about vacations together.

I sat staring at my empty plate playing with my fork.

No one even seemed to notice I was there. Like I was invisible.

I felt Cooper touch my arm. He grabbed it pulling me outside on the patio.

"Why are you sitting there moping," he said to me.

'Am not.' I signed.

I was but I wasnt going to admit it to him.

"What ever why arent you joining in," Cooper said knowing I wouldnt admit to moping.

I just stared at him annoyed.

"Or speak to anyone," He finished when I didnt reply.

Did he really just say that to me.

I could feel the tears welling up in my eyes.

Cooper must have seen them and relized what he said.

"Oh shit Lil I didnt mean like that," He tried to correct.

'Fuck you' I signed.
