*Toms POV*

After Kayla left I went to sleep as she said.  I guess I never really noticed how much I needed to sleep.

I woke up in the morning to my phone blowing up. I checked the time, it was 11:30 am. I grabbed my phone, wow I had 5 miss calls and 15 texts from Sam and... Emilie called me, three times, she never calls me, she hates my guts.

I decided to call Sam back, it rung three times before he picked up

*on phone* 

sam: Tom, is that you 

Tom: yeah it's me, what up, you called me like 15 times\

I was a tad concerned, he sounded scared

Sam: Tom please come to-

I heard Emilie in the background

Em: is that tom

Her voice grew closer

Em: Tom is that you

Tom: Hey Emilie, what going on

She sounded like she's been crying

Em: please come to the hospital

I was now concerned

Tom: Emilie what's going on

Em: Tom its Kayla, she's in the hospital 

She was now crying

Em: Tom shes was in a hit and run, t-they don't know if she'll make it 

I stood there in shock, this can't be happening, I just got her back. 

Em: T-Tom are you there

her voice was shaky 

Tom: I'll be right there

I hung up. I raced to my closet and changed, I ran down to my car and drove like a bat out hell. The car ride was silent yet so loud. There was a ringing in my ear, a rush of fear went over me, tears down my face.

I made it to the hospital in record time. I burst through the front doors, Emilie and Sam jumped up from their embrace when they saw me.

"Where is she," I said with panic in my voice.

"She just went into surgery" 

"What happens to her" 

Emilie and Sam looked at each other, what were they thinking

Emile started crying.

"Tom you should sit down" Sam sat down holding Emilie's shaking hand

I just looked at them, waiting for someone to talk. 

"As you know" Sam started to talk, "Kayla was in a hit in run" 

"Yeah I know that part" my voice was a little shaky 

"Tom that's not the worse part" he paused and grabbed Emilie's hand, "this happened last night" 

"Ok..." I could tell that he wasn't finished

"She was found this morning, only about an hour ago" I could tell that this story wasn't over, "Tom I don't think you want to hear what's next"

"Sam tell me!" I raised my voice a little letting him know that I was serious.

"S-she was found half dead, they say she lost a lot of blood and she barely had a pulse."

I could tell Emilie was scared, then I hear Ms. Bailey come rushing in the door
