Chapter 8: Sparkling

As soon as Optimus left I drove back over to the hanger. Everyone was busy with jobs of some sort so I decided to talk to Lennox about anything. Anything at all.
"Hey Halo. Glad you came over I was just gonna tell you to go tell Ironhide we got a decepticon signal headed towards the wooded area near Sam's college."

"Think there after him?" I asked walking over to the monitors with Lennox that show every decepticon in the area.

"Him as in Sam?" Lennox questioned as I nodded. "Not sure though something is up with that kid." After he said that I went to find Ironhide.

"Ironhide, Lennox wants you to go check out the suspicious decepticon activity located in this area." I stated mapping it out with my optics while still in human form.

"Ratchet on me. We don't know what decepticon ass is still lying around." He said transforming and rolling out with Ratchet trailing behind.

"Wish I could go." I whispered to myself as I was called over by Epps who ordered me to watch the monitor for him. It was a good hour or so later when I felt my spark go blue. Staring at the spark signals of all the autobots I streamed in pain. "Ahhhh! They killed him!"

Military personal ran over to my aid as I was brought to the ground my the intense pain a spark bond would have. Tears ran down my face from anger that the deceptive ones had killed him. "Halo! Look at me." Lennox requested as I was fighting   against them.

"Lennox make it stop. Please make it stop!" I screamed as Epps ran over with a needle in his hand.

"It will be over soon." He reassured me, feeling a pinch go into my arm as the pain subsided leaving me in a state of sleep.

"She's out. Bring her to med bay. I want Ratchet to take a look at her once she's back. And get Optimus's body transported back here immediately," Lennox ordered just as the sound of his voice faded.

6 hours later.

I woke up in the Med bay with Ratchet's back facing me. He was in his hologarm looking at the monitors of what appeared to be my spark. I was in a hospital gown with my arms tied to the gurney. "We has to restrain you because of the pain." He said as he untied me.

"Optimus. . . " I whispered, no longer feeling our bond.

"He was killed by megaton while trying to protect Sam." Ratchet started, "I had to stop the link between Optimus and you. Yes, I knew about you too."

"Ratchet we. . ." I stuttered feeling a little embarrassed for not telling Ratchet before hand.

"Halo, you and Optimus are meant to be it written all over with the symbols on yourselves." He is explained as I got up from the gurney. "Meet Lennox down by Ironhide. Bumblebee is with Sam. With Prime gone who knows what Megatron is planning. " Shaking his headRatchet sighed and turned away. We all felt doomed with Prime being gone. No leader equals no hope.

I walked down to where Lennox was as he looked a little worried. Ironhide was pissed as usual walking around fixing his cannons. "You wanted to see me?" I asked as Lennox turned to face me.

"Optimus died." He whispered ever so quietly to me.

"Lennox I believe she would know since she was sparked to him." Ironhide said, making me slightly embarrassed."

"Sparked?"Lennox questioned. "Like partners, lovers if you say."

"Correct." I said, waving Ironhide away.

"You and the big guy. . . You. . . Halo. . . . Really?" Lennox said in shock as to the previous conditions of mine and Optimus's relationship.

"It's written in the stars." I told him as he shook his head. "It's over now though, Ratchet cut our connection. That's why I was in pain because I was feeling him saying goodbye."

"They're shipping Optimus's body out right now." He told me as my eyes were getting tearful.

"When will he arrive?"

"In the next 4 hours." He told me. "I got to go arrange a few things. Talk later."

When Lennox left, Ironhide shock his head. "Do you have something to say to me?"

"If you were messing around with Optimus distracting him and shit he would still be alive." Ironhide informed me as I felt myself heating up. I transformed in front of him looking into his optics.

"I'm never the problem. You should of went with him!" I yelled, transforming back into Halo walking away to the lounge area.

"Blaze! Wait!"I heard Ironhide yell. Ignoring him I continued walking grabbing and energon cube on my way. I sat down on one of the sofas in the lounge looking at the TV. Epps walked in an hour later stating more military personal were arriving later.

"Halo, make sure to run over profiles once they arrive."

"Will do Epps." I told him finishing the cube and walking back out to the main area. I notice Ratchet was walking towards the entrance as a helicopter just landed. *Optimus.*

Running to the door I quickly sprinted to his lifeless body laying on the ground. I was almost to him till a servo picked me up. "No! Don't touch me! Let me see him, let me go!" I screamed tears of energon pouring down my face as Ratchet just held me. I had enough though transforming into Shadow Blaze before their eyes. "You let me see him!" I yelled landing in front of Ratchet before I immediately turned back into my human form.

"Halo?" Ratchet said as I couldn't control my transformation.

"What's wrong with me?" I asked, staring in shock. Shaking my head I ran to Optimus. His metal body laid lifeless as I withdraw the material coving him. Transforming once again I picked up Optimus's hand in mine and cried. Cried because I couldn't bare to just find my spark mate and lose him all at once. Knowing my anger for the decepticon beig was getting the best of me I let go of Optimus's hand. "I will seek revenge on whoever killed my lover!" I cried in the language of the primes.

Stepping back I shifted back into Halo. "Halo, its best that we move Prime to a different hanger." Lennox informed me as I saw the helicopters rolling in.

"Do what you must. I have to go myself." I said, running off into the distance.

"Where are you going? Men stop her!" Lennox yelled just as I jumped to Megatron's location.

It was dark and gloomy with the smell of energon in the air. Sparklings hanging from there nests as I could see Megatron talking to a much eviler decepticon. "Prime's dead." He said, crawling out of the holdings he was placed in.

"And all we need is the Matrix." Megatron said, as the other decepticon left, just as I saw Starscream lingering about.

"Do you hear that Master? I believe we have an intruder." Starscream said as Megatron looked in my direction.

"I sense the presence of Prime, but Prime is dead." He smiles walking over to where I was. Right before he turned to find me I ran behind some energon cubes. "Come out! I demand you."

Slowly I moved back only to get picked up by Starscream. "Let me go!" I yelled.

"As you wish." He smiled dropping me on the ground in front of Megatron. "Earthling what are you doing here? Wait. . ."

"Master, she had symbols of the primes all over her." Starscream informed Megatron, just as I was filled with anger to be faced to face with Optimus's murderer.

"You killed him!" I screamed as I transformed, shooting Megatron as Starscream grabbed me.

"Argh! A Realming.." Megatron said standing up as I was helpless in Starscream grip. "Shadow Blaze."

"How do you know my name?"

"I watched you land on Cyberton and get taken by Primus. Never to be seen again." Megatron smiled, just as he lifted up my chin making me glare into his eyes.

"You're dying." Megatron slowly said as I slowly turned into Halo. *No, I'm . . . *
