Chapter 11:
I walk into the noisy music room, there is music playing from several instruments and then conversations trying to be heard over it.
There is a huge mix of people right in front of me, and they seem to all get along because they all share the same passion for music.
I take a seat up the back, the brats aren’t here yet, and I’m hoping that they got put into another music class.
I place my bag beside, copying everyone else, as I just observe the different people.
“Hey there Counter Strike.” The black and purple headed boy takes his seat beside me.
“Michael, long time no see?” I greet him.
“Tell me about it, I just had double History and my gameboy died, so I was forced to listen.” Michael places his finger to his head, in a gun shape.
“Poor you.” I laugh.
“There you are loser!” Another boy approaches us, he has olive skin and black hair. “You ran out of History pretty fast, I thought you were gonna shit you pants or something.” The boy takes a seat in front of Michael, sitting backwards so he is facing him.
“More like vomit, that class was the worst. Is it always that fucking boring?” Michael crosses his arms and leans back.
“Yeah, we usually do learn shit in that class, not like you would know gamerboy.” Calum rolls his eyes. “Sorry, how rude of me. I’m Calum.” He reaches his hand towards me.
“Cassie.” I accepted his hand and shake it.
“Cassie, why would you be talking to a dork like this?” Calum tilts his head towards Michael.
“Umm, excuse me, we bonded over Counter Strike!” Michael defends and I just laugh.
“Wow, you’re soul mates.” Calum sarcastically replies.
“Oh look, the jock has finally arrived.” Michael looks towards the door, and at that moment I make eye contact with Ashton.
“Fashionably late, are we Ash?” Calum greets Ashton as he take the seat in front of me.
“Cassie, why are you sitting with these turds?” Ashton laughs.
“Why is everyone so shocked I socialised with a female.” Michael throws his hands in the air.
“Because the only girl’s names you can tell us are ones from video games.” Ashton teases Michael.
“Anyway, Ash you know the Counter Strike slayer?” Michael changes the subject.
“Counter Strike Slayer?” Ashton raises an eyebrow at me. “I know Cassie, not this Counter Strike person you speak of.”
“Maybe you should pay more attention to your lady friends.” Calum waves his finger towards Ashton.
“Yeah, Ash.” I tease.
“Teachers pet alert.” Michael grumbles as a blonde headed boy walks across the room. He is freakishly tall and is hair spikes up at the front. “And theres the teacher.”
Right on cue a young female teacher walks in. She has brown here placed in a bun at the top of her head. She’s gorgeous and at most 10 years older than us.
“Settle down!” She yells over the top of the music and voices.
“She’s a teacher.” My mouth slips that words that I’m thinking.
