You ran into security on the way out of the building.
"Get down!" Tony pushed you behind him and stood protectively over you, letting the bullets ping off his suit instead of hitting you. "We have to get out of here!" you yelled, covering your head with your arms.
Then the bullets stopped. "Tony Stark," the man in front tilted his head. "We weren't expecting you to come for y/n."
"She's my daughter," Tony retorted angrily. "I'll always come for her."
The man blinked as if he wasn't expecting this answer. "Surrender now and we won't hurt either of you."
"I don't think so," Tony said, his voice low and determined as he tilted his head, sunlight reflecting off his helmet.
Self-guided missiles launched out of his suit, hitting the men in the legs. They all crumpled to the dead grass.
"Let's go!" your dad spun and helped you up before wrapping his arms around you and taking off, soaring through the sky towards upstate New York.
He landed gently in the grass at the Avengers Compound, the air significantly cooler here than it was there.
The rest of the Avengers came running out of the Compound, Peter in the lead. "Y/n!" he shouted, wrapping you in a hug while Tony stepped out of the Iron Man armor. "I thought we'd lost you,"
"Nope," you said, pulling out of the hug to smile at him and everyone else. "You guys are stuck with me,"
"Are you okay?" Bruce stepped forward, an anxious look in his eyes.
"My arms are sore from having to hold on to a gold-titanium alloy suit while flying at break-neck speeds to get here but other than that I'm fine."
"We'll figure out what happened and let the doctors do a check-up later. For right now, let's eat. I'm sure you're hungry," Steve said, patting you on the back.
"Ooh, yes please!"
