Ending 1 - Staying

You stayed absolutely still, just as Adler had told you. Slowly, stinging pain turned to weakening flashes of burning sensations. You were being electrified.

Adler’s POV

Everything was set. Took long enough, too. I didn’t want to spend a single second away from my dearest, sweetest Y.N. It was excruciating torture.

In less than ten minutes, everyone in the world would feel absolute devastation wash over them as Vesity kicked them out. Mass panic would ensue around the world.

But that didn’t matter to me. I would have Y.N and all of Vesity. The world would be my oyster. Everything would be perfect. It was finished, and now I just had to wait.

No POV

Adler’s robotic body came alive as he opened his eyes. You jumped, your weak body only growing weaker. Your skin was steadily losing colour, and your body seemed to be dying. Adler smiled at you.

“My dear,” he said as he approached you. “I love you. More than anything in this world or Vesity.” You shuddered. You hated this, but you had to say it. You had to.

“I l-love you t-too,” you muttered, your head hanging down. Adler smiled at you one last time. You knew your time was coming to an end. You were going to die, and soon. Adler set his hand on your jaw, pulling your face to look up at him.

Your eyes were heavy, but you fought to keep them open to look at him. He leaned in and pressed his lips against yours once again. Even though he couldn’t feel anything, he hoped you felt it. He knew you felt it.

But you felt nothing. Besides maybe the absolute disdain for the man; the robot, the monstrosity; in front of you. You knew exactly what he was. There was no way to explain how, but you knew he was a mistake. He shouldn’t have existed. Adler was a monster.

“I will see you soon, my dear,” Adler whispered as your head lulled to the side. Your body went limp.

You were dead.

Then you weren’t.

You opened your eyes. You weren’t dead. But you were.

What?

Letters and numbers flashed before your eyes at insane speeds. You couldn’t understand a single character.

Then it all disappeared.

You blinked. You found yourself in complete darkness. Many questions flared in your mind, but you couldn’t speak. A certain green male stepped in your field of vision. He snapped his fingers, as though he was trying to get your attention.

“Sweetheart, are you okay?” You forced yourself to nod. You found you couldn’t control your body. Adler smiled at you widely. “Good.”

He reached out, seemingly in slow motion, towards your shoulder. His hand landed on it, and his eyes fluttered closed. He took a deep breath, as though he was taking in a whole new experience.

Adler’s POV

I touched her. I truly touched her. And I felt it. YN’s body was unlike anything I’d ever felt. The coding was different, and yet the same. Ethereal, and yet earthly. There is no true way to describe it. She was… perfect,

There was a feeling. No words can describe the absolute intensity of this feeling. It was like electricity flowing through me, and her, and everything. Everything, in Vesity and the IRL, didn’t matter. Nothing mattered but YN.

My beloved whimpered. I turned to her. She nuzzled her beautiful face into my green tinted hand. Her (e.c) eyes looked at me, boring into my coding as if she could read my thoughts, see my emotions. I felt as though my whole story was playing out just for her. That look made me want to fall to my knees and confess everything.

“Adler…” she muttered.

“Yes, my dear?” I asked.

“What’s going to happen?” I smiled at her brightly, taking her face in my hands. She set her hands over mine, giving me a comforting feeling. I could only assume this is what ‘warm’ felt like.

“Just wait, my dear. Just wait.”

I held her closer, setting my hands on her waist. It felt as though she was made to fit beside me. She wrapped her arms over my shoulders and nuzzled her face into my neck.

TUNE

Chaos reigned.

Adler’s plan had backfired, but neither he nor YN knew of it. They were shielded in their dark abyss of Vesity.

When everyone was expelled from Vesity, most people were given horrible electric shocks. Nearly half of the people died instantly, another third died from wounds later on. The world was facing a mass hysteria. Over half the population was taken out in the blink of an eye.

Most feared that this would bring on possibly the apocalypse. Death and destruction reigned. Mankind was brought to its knees, no idea how to survive and adapt to the world they hadn’t lived in for what felt to be an eternity.

All because a glitch fell in love.
