The girl who taught me to love again
"You don't have to say I love you to say I love you", that was always something with us. We never had to say it, because we knew it. We showed it in our hand holds and our "drive safely's". We showed it every time we asked "have you ate today?"
You found me in a dark hole, and slowly you helped me out of it. You showed me it was okay to trust people, it was okay to give someone a little piece of myself. A part of me wishes I never gave you my everything, but the other parts of me know it was good that I did. Good that I learned from you about love, about the right way to love someone. You showed me after a breakup that it gets better. For that I say thank you, because I don't think I could have asked for a better person to show me love again.
I hope you know I'm here for you. Im here for you the same way I was before. I hope you know I'm not angry, I'm just sad. Sad that our time together is just a memory now. I'm sorry for how desperate I've gotten, I'm sorry for being such a headache. I hope one day we can actually be friends the way we were before, but I'd understand if it was something you wouldn't want.
I can't wait to see you succeed, graduate, go up at work. I'm excited for you. Glad you can move on with your life, because I know I'll be able to one day, too. I'm sorry for holding you back, I'm sorry for being the one who can't let go. I promise one day I will.
