The girl I thought I loved
Talking about you is always bittersweet. I tell the story of our relationship when people ask me how I came out. Loving you was always something hard to me, maybe it was because we were young or maybe it was because I didn't want to accept myself.
I didn't deserve a person as sweet as you in my life. You deserve ultimate happiness in all that you do and I know that you'll find that. In our young and naive minds we really loved each other, but I think the selfish part of me didn't see the feelings you had. Distance and the fear of growing up got ahead of us.
I still see you though, you're an amazing writer. You're never afraid to show the world who you are and what you want, I admire you for that. I love seeing your frequent hair changes with an updated profile picture. Those random texts that come from no where are always nice to receive and smile at.
The family bathroom of Crossroads Center mall will always have a special meaning to me, hopefully it does to you as well.
