The boys took a little bit longer than planned getting prepped for the show because of how much they wanted to goof around. I didn't mind though, seeing them like that makes me smile. I swear they're all idiots.
While they go to film the show, I stay back in the prep room where all of their things are. There is a TV so I can still see what they are doing. However, I put in my headphones and start listening to music. As I sit down and relax, exhaustion starts to slowly overtake me. I had been running around a lot these past few days and last night I didn't sleep very well. I had to put on some extra make up this morning so that nobody would notice.
Before I knew it, I had fallen asleep. My eyelids had just become too heavy for me to keep them open.
I wake up to the sound of my phone ringing. I look at who would possibly be calling me and see that it's my best friend Elizabeth. Excitement shoots through me as I answer the phone.
"Hey!" I basically yelled into the phone.
"Hey! How are you? How is Korea? Have you seen BTS yet? Why Haven't I heard from you?" she pouts
"I am doing fine. Korea is great. No, I have not seen BTS though, but when I do I will be sure to get a picture with Jimin and I have been pretty busy these past few days with the internship and all. You know, the reason I'm here."
"You're so mean to me. Anyways, what do they have you doing?" She asks.
"Well, I've been working with a K-pop group. They're called Pentagon. I've told you about them before."
"Is that the group with the boy who was involved in a scandal?" Elizabeth is also a K-pop fan, so she knows how a lot of this stuff works.
"Yep, sadly too. I thought E'Dawn was pretty cool."
"Well, either way, that's pretty awesome! I can't believe you haven't ruined it yet. Do they know you're a fan of theirs?" I swear the confidence that she and my mother have in me in amazing.
"No, I have not ruined it. I have been keeping a professional atmosphere which means they do not know that I am a fan. I don't want them being uncomfortable with the fact that they have a fan working for them." I say honestly.
"That's fair. Has anything interesting happened since you've been there?" As if working for a K-pop group that I liked wasn't interesting enough for her. I know what she means though.
"Well, I ran into a member before I actually met them. Both of us weren't paying attention to where we were going and we ran into each other. I got the short end of the stick though because not only did I fall, I also spilled my coffee all over myself." I hear her laughing on the other end of the line.
"However, Yuto was nice enough to give me his jacket. However, the next day when I met them in their practice room, he was quite cold towards me and he's remained that way."
"Wait. Didn't you say Yuto was your bias? He's the Japanese dude you had as your screensaver for a while, right?" I roll my eyes at her.
"Yes. That was him."
"He likes you," She bluntly states.
"He does not. You can't go around assuming everyone likes me." Right as I was saying that the boys walk into the room.
"Who likes you?" HongSeok asks in English. Out of all of them, he speaks it the best. I laugh nervously.
"Yo, B. Who was that?" I hear Elizabeth say over the phone.
"It's the boys. I have to go. They're back." I go to hang up on her.
"Wait. I wanna see. Facetime me real quick!"
"Fine. Real quick though. We have somewhere to be soon." I tell her as I make the call a video chat. I face the camera towards the boys and they look at me confused.
"It's my friend. Just say hi." Hui initiated their traditional greeting and Elizabeth was laughing and telling me I was lucky. I said my goodbye's and we hung up.
"Okay. We need to hurry so we can make it to your photo shoot on time." I say as I check the time on my phone.
"What was all that about?" JinHo asks.
"Yeah, and who likes you?" HongSeok asks again in Korean. Everyone's eyes widen as they look to me for answers.
"Aish. Nobody likes me. My friend does this thing where she thinks everyone likes me. She says it's because I'm beautiful and that I flirt unintentionally." I recall as if it meant nothing.
"Who does she think likes you this time?" Hui innocently asks. I shoot him a quick death glare, but I doubt he notices.
"Nobody. It's nothing. Now, get your things. We have to go." I say as I walk out of the room. "I will be waiting in the car. Hurry please." I say politely before I make my final exit.
I just can't face them when they're asking me those questions. Plus, I noticed Yuto eyeing me suspiciously during the conversations and that just made me feel uncomfortable. If they bring it up again, I'll just say it's my collegemate from back home. Come to think of it, why didn't I say that? 'Maybe because when you're flustered like that you act like a complete moron.' I think to myself.
I knock my head a bit thinking it may knock some sense into me. I wait patiently for the boys and we take off to the photo shoot.
