I woke up at around seven o'clock in the morning. My alarm was set for nine, but because of how consistently I have been waking up early, my circadian rhythm told me to wake up. Great. I take my time getting ready and I even sit down for a half hour and enjoy a cup of coffee. However, by the time all was said and done, it was only nine forty-five. With nothing else to do, I head to Pentagon's dorm. I know that Yuto told me he would pick me up, but I will go crazy doing nothing for the next hour.
I knock on the door and wait for someone to come let me in. After a few seconds, the door opens revealing a half-asleep Hui. His hair was a mess and he was still in his pajamas which for him were just athletic shorts and a t-shirt. He yawns as soon as he opens the door and puts his hand in front of his face to block the sunlight. It takes a few seconds for his eyes to focus and to realize who I am.
"Hey, Clair. What are you doing here?" He checks his wrist even though there is no watch on it. "I thought Yuto was supposed to be picking you up at eleven?"
"He was, but I woke up so early that I had the time to spare. So, I decided to come here instead of making him drive to my dorm." I say bubbly. I really did have too much energy.
Hui scoffed "Well, I don't know if he'd be too happy about that. He doesn't like when you walk around by yourself."
"What?" I asked, but before he had a chance to answer me, a barely-alive JinHo drapes himself over Hui to see what is going on.
"Oh, hey, Clair." He says with a bright smile even though his eyes are still mostly closed, "Come on in."
Hui opens the door to allow me to come in. I make my way over to the couch and as soon as I sit down, as shirtless Kino comes out.
"JinHo hyung, who was at the door?" My eyes widen as my cheeks flush red. I put my hands over my face in embarrassment even though I would love to look at him longer.
"Ya! Go get a shirt on!" Hui yelled.
"Why?" I heard him pause, "Oh crap. Sorry, Clair." I look up to see him retreating into his room. My eyes linger in the place where he previously was when I hear someone clear their throat behind me.
"What are you doing here?" Crap. He sounds pissed.
"What do you mean? I'm basically your manager for the time being. What's so wrong with me coming over?" Yuto may be my bias and all, but I refuse to be talked down to like I'm a little kid.
"Glad you asked." He smirked as his folded his arms over his chest. He looks so hot right now. "You didn't text or call anyone to let them know you were coming. That resulted in everyone being half asleep when you arrived. What would you have done if someone accidentally tried something thinking they were sleeping?" He raises his eyebrows and pauses for effect.
" And they say I watch too many romantic dramas." I scoffed turning away from him.
"Plus, what if something happened on your way here? You shouldn't be walking around Seoul by yourself like that."
"I'm a big girl. I can handle a ten-minute walk to your dorm."
"And if something happened to you, who would know?" At this, I shut up. I don't really have an answer to that. The first to notice would be Pentagon because I'm with them almost every day, but nobody else around here even knows who I am.
I take a deep breath and calm down. He may be a jerk, but he has a point.
"Look, I understand what you are saying. I should have called or something and I know that cities are dangerous, but I'm not as helpless as you make me out to be." I pleaded with him. Yuto sighs and pinches the bridge of his nose.
"Just don't do it again. The team would be upset if something happened to you. They happen to really like you." He doesn't include himself in the statement or at least that is what it came across like.
"Yuto, I am here for two months. I won't be with you all every day. What am I supposed to do on those days? Lock myself in my dorm?" I try to reason with him.
"I guess you'll just have to." He turns around and begins to walk away.
"You have got to be kidding. I am not locking myself in my dorm. Are you crazy?" He stops walking and turns his head to the side as he addresses me.
"Then I guess you will just have to be with us every day until you leave." He doesn't bother to fully look back at me before he continues walking to his room. I turn around and sit back on the couch. My brain is trying to process what just happened.
"What has gotten into him?" Yanan asks as he takes a seat beside me.
"I have no idea. One day he is barely talking to me and the next day he is yelling at me for coming to the dorm. I don't know what I did to make him dislike me." I thought out loud.
"While I don't know why he is acting like that, I highly doubt that it is because he dislikes you," Yanan reassures me.
"I don't understand though, Yanan. He is so cold to me and borderline rude." I sigh as I realize that I shouldn't be talking to Yanan about this. "I'm sorry, Yanan. I don't have any friends here in Korea and it is hard to contact my friends back home on a regular basis because of the time difference."
"Well, now you do." I look up at him confused.
"What?"
"Now you have a friend. I'll be your friend. If you don't mind that is." He says as he smiles widely. I smile back at him.
"No, I don't mind at all. That would be pretty great actually."
After a few minutes, Yanan had me laughing and he took all of my worries away. Before I knew it, it was almost time for me to leave with Yuto to go shopping.
"Don't worry, Clair. Everything will be okay." He gives me a reassuring smile and I nod with confidence in return.
"Fighting!" He says quietly, but loud enough for me to hear.
"Fighting!"
"Clair! Let's go! I'm leaving." I hear Yuto yell from the door. I look at Yanan one last time and we both just giggle.
"We'll be back later everybody," I yell before I finally leave. I may still be upset with Yuto for yelling at me, but I am not going to let it ruin my day.
