"I blame you for making me so tired," I said with a small smile, walking with Michael to the cafeteria. Biology was my only interesting class of the day because Michael sat beside me, keeping me awake. Even without staying up until 5 am, I'd want to fall asleep during Biology, but Michael kept me entertained.
"I don't mind. I'll take the blame," Michael told me, turning into the cafeteria. I laughed, taking my usual spot at the lunch table, but this time Michael sat next to me instead of across from me. Calum said nothing, silently settling down in Michael's usual spot.
"Ashton, stop," Caroline giggled as she reached the table, detaching Ashton's lips from her neck. "People are watching." I rolled my eyes, glancing over at Michael who was busy peering down at the table. Ashton stuck out his bottom lip, pressing his mouth to hers quickly.
"I don't care," he growled playfully. Caroline raised her eyebrows, connecting their lips again.
"Are you happy now?" she smirked, trailing her finger down his jawline.
"Almost," He pecked her lips once more, gently biting down. "Yeah, I'm good now."
"Oh my god," Luke wandered over to us, gagging at the couple. "Can you two get a room? You haven't even been dating that long."
Ashton flicked his eyes up to the ceiling in annoyance. Caroline took his wrist, gently pulling him down to sit beside her.
"Don't worry, they're just jealous," she whispered into his ear, resting her hand on his thigh. My stomach churned with annoyance and envy. I wasn't in the mood to be watching a new, obsessed couple.
Luke slid in the seat to my right, distracting me.
"How are you?" he asked politely, a sandwhich already in front of him. He picked at it, slowly muching on the bread.
"I'm good. Tired," I shot at Michael jokingly. "But good."
"Jesus Christ," Michael breathed. "I'm so sorry that I barged into your house at 2 am, although you secretly loved it," he smiled, chewing on his bottom lip.
"Wait, what?" Luke questioned and I put my hand over Michael's under the table as a warning. I didn't want them to think anything happened. They did when I was drunk in his basement, so who knows what they would think now.
"Hmm?" Michael played dumb.
"Are you the reason she's so tired and grumpy?" he asked, my jaw dropping.
"Hey! I'm not grumpy," I pouted. Michael chuckled, playing with my fingers hidden by the table top, which is the only reason why I didn't cross my arms.
"You are a little bit," Michael grinned, letting go of my hand for money in his pocket. "I'll be back. I'm hungry."
I felt an odd feeling in my stomach, like I didn't want him to leave. It was odd.
"So, you both didn't answer my question," Luke said, tugging on his gray beanie. I didn't answer, pulling his beanie down over his eyes. "You really are tired." he mumbled, but I noticed a small smile on his face.

I decided to drive my car to Michael's after school, sending my mom a quick text letting her know I won't be home until later. He offered to do homework with me anyway, so it wasn't an issue.
"Do you believe in heaven?" Michael rolled over on his stomach after a few minutes of silence, studying me from the floor while I was on his bed. I looked at him instead of my math textbook in front of me.
"Um, I don't know," I ran my hand through my hair. "I mean, maybe. Like, I believe that there is something after death but I'm not sure what it is exactly." I explained. "Why?"
