Bruce knew he had to deal with whatever scheme The League was up to. He asked Barbara to accompany him. As Barbara got into her Batgirl costume, she asked Kevin, "You think you and Alfred can handle that little hellspawn?" Kevin smirked and said, "Come on Barbara, he's my brother. I can at least try to reach out to him. Just think about the mission. Once you and Dad succeed, you and me can go on a vacation. You open to Bellevue?" Barbara smiled and said, "it'd be nice to meet your mom." She pulled on her cowl. "Be safe, and good luck," said Kevin, "I love you." Batgirl kissed Kevin on the lips. She smiled and said, "Love you too Kev. And I'll be safe."  She then left Wayne Manor.

For an hour, Alfred dealt with Damian. But the kid really drove Alfred to his limits. Kevin saw Alfred scowling. "You alright Alfred?" Kevin asked. "That boy is foul-mouthed, petulant,  and extremely stubborn," huffed Alfred, "there is only so much language I can handle. You are a less difficult house-guest, Master Kevin. I dread to think how Master Tim would react to meeting this child." Kevin chuckled and said, "I think he gets that stubbornness from me and Dad. How about I draw you some tea Alfred."

"That would be most appreciated Master Kevin," said Alfred as he plopped on the couch. Kevin then went to the kitchen and made Alfred's favorite tea. Once the tea was ready, Kevin then gave Alfred his cup of tea. "My favorite tea," observed Alfred, "you shouldn't have Master Kevin." He sipped his tea. "Well I did," said Kevin, "I think I'll try and talk to him." Alfred chuckled and said, "Good luck with that." Kevin got a plate of some leftover pizza he made, and then walked on over to the room Damian was in. He knocked on the door. "Go away Pennyworth," Damian said behind the door. "I'm not Alfred," said Kevin. Damian reluctantly opened the door and asked, "What do you want, you who I call brother?"

"Never heard that one before," said Kevin, "anyway, can I come in? I figured you'd be hungry." Damian was at first reluctant, then let Kevin in. He looked at the pizza. "What's that supposed to be?" he asked. "It's a pizza," explained Kevin, "it's an Italian dish." Damian took the plate, but he also noticed that there was cheese inside the crust. "Why is there cheese inside this crust?" he asked. "Oh, I did that," chuckled Kevin, "I go crazy when it comes to some of the recipes I cook, and some pizza restaurants are often known for putting cheese inside their crust. Most of the guys like it sometimes." Damian took a bite of the pizza slice, and his eyes widened. "This pizza... I like it!" Damian said, "You are a good cook."

"Thanks," said Kevin as he smiled, "look, Damian... I want you to know that after you and your mom tied me and Barbara to a chair; all is forgiven." Damian looked at Kevin and asked, "You forgive me...?"

"Hey, we're practically family," said Kevin, "and it'd be a good idea if we started fresh." Damian nodded.  "I thought I was the true heir to father," said Damian, "it seems I was wrong... How come you do not join him and your beloved in battle?" Kevin rubbed the back of his head and said, "Well, I'm not that interested in fighting crime. Kinda takes a toll on relationships." Damian smirked and said, "Says the guy in a relationship with a woman dressed like the bat."

"Well, Barbara's the type of girl who makes me feel normal," said Kevin, "trust me Damian, when you come of age, you'll find that special someone who will make you feel normal." Damian nodded, eating his pizza. "I suppose as brothers, we are more alike," said Damian. "Yeah, we share the same father," said Kevin, "we've both been raised by our mothers on their own, for over a decade, Dad didn't even know we were conceived or existed... Heck, I probably looked like you when I was younger."  Kevin then went on his Facebook profile on his phone, and found an album of the many photos his mother took of him when he was a little kid, and showed them to Damian.

"There's definitely a resemblance," said Damian. He also saw the picture of Andrea, and had to admit, she was very pretty. He could see where Kevin got his light brown hair color from. "You're young Damian," said Kevin, "you'll at least get to grow up knowing your dad, and spending time with him. I never really got to spend a childhood with my father."

"I envy you though," said Damian. "How come?" Kevin asked. "At least you got to live a normal childhood. From the moment I could walk, I have been trained to be the greatest assassin ever," said Damian, "I never got to 'play catch' or do other activities like normal kids do. I never really had someone to call a friend either." Kevin put his arm around Damian's shoulder in a brotherly manner. "You got one now," he assured his little brother, "and if you ever need someone to talk to, and can't abide in dad or Alfred, I'm here for you." Damian smiled and said, "Thank you Kevin. That means a lot. I don't usually show my more human side to anyone that often. But if you so much as tell anyone that I have a soft spot, so help me I will kick your teeth in!"  Kevin ruffled up Damian's hair and said, "Got it bro."
