A/N: This is a flashback chapter that takes place before Kevin meets Barbara. And I decided to feature Superboy and Miss Martian because I love Young Justice!

Barbara was headed to her favorite cafe in Gotham to meet up with Conner and M'gann for lunch. It had been a while since she saw them, and she really wanted to talk to them. Once she made it to the cafe, she saw Conner and M'gann there. M'gann was in her human form, and she and Conner were in their civilian clothes. Barbara smiled and walked on over to her friends. "Hey Conner! Hey Megan!" She enthusiastically said. She hugged them both. "Hey Babs," M'gann said happily. "How've you two been?" Barbara asked. "We've been doing good," said Conner, "Where's Dick?"

"Oh, he's busy," said Barbara, "You know how he is." M'gann gave a somewhat nervous smile and said, "Yeah, totally..." She dropped the nervousness in order to not arouse any suspicion. "So, you hungry?" Conner asked, noticing how M'gann was nervous for a brief second. He decided to ask her afterwards. "Starving," said Barbara as she smiled. "Alright, let's go get our table," said M'gann as they walked into the restaurant. Once they were all seated, M'gann ordered a salad, while Conner ordered a cheeseburger, and Barbara ordered a chicken burrito. While they were waiting for their food to be made, the three friends catched up on what they were up to. When Connor and M'gann weren't on the team as Superboy and Miss Martian, Connor was fixing motorcycles. Soon their food was ready, and the three friends dug in. While Barbara was so hungry that she could eat a horse and wolfed down her burrito, Conner noticed that M'gann was picking at her salad, hardly eating it.

"I'll be back," said Barbara as she finished her burrito, "gotta use the bathroom." And that's what she did. The minute she was gone, Conner asked, "M'gann, are you okay? You've hardly touched your salad, and you look nervous..." M'gann sighed sadly and said, "Sorry Conner... It's just that, the other day, I stumbled onto something at the Titans Tower..." Conner raised an eyebrow and asked, "What did you stumble onto?" M'gann looked at Conner and said, "I saw Dick make out with Kori..." Conner's eyes widened in shock and he said, "What?!?!?! You saw that?!?!?! Are you sure??" M'gann telepathically showed Conner a mental image of Dick making out with Kori at the medical room. Conner was at a loss for words.

"I can't believe he cheated on Barbara..." Conner said in disbelief. "I was so afraid to tell you and Barbara," said a tearful M'gann, "especially since Dick and Barbara are our friends... I was afraid I'd ruin everyone's friendships..." Conner held M'gann's hand and said, "I understand... And it's okay M'gann... I'm not mad at you. At Dick, yeah; that's an entire different story."

"What do we do Conner?" M'gann asked. "I'd say we have an intervention with Dick," suggested Conner, "we should tell him that what he's hiding from Barbara is wrong, and that he should come clean to her about his affair with Kori." What Conner and M'gann did not know was that Barbara had finished using the bathroom and partially overheard what Conner was saying. The minute Conner said affair with Kori, Barbara's heart broke in two. Was Dick cheating behind her back? And for how long? "Should we bring in Bruce and Alfred into the intervention also?" M'gann asked. "Probably," said Conner, "they might have a few choice words about Dick's cheating..."

"What kind of words, Conner?!?!?!?!" Barbara asked as she rushed in, angry and hurt. "B-b-b-Babs!" M'gann said, startled, "how long have you been listening?" She was scared. "Long enough," said Barbara, "is what I heard true?" M'gann sighed and said, "Unfortunately, yes... Barbara, can you please give me a chance to explain?" Although Barbara was angry, she decided to calm down out of respect for her friend, and said, "Alright. I'm listening."

"I was intending to visit Dick at the Titans Tower," began M'gann, "he'd been badly injured, and I wanted to see how he was. I went to the medical bay, and stumbled onto Dick making out with Kori... I was afraid to tell you because I was afraid I'd ruin our friendship... You must hate me, don't you?" Barbara gave M'gann a sad smile and said, "oh M'gann, I could never hate you. We'll always be friends. And I appreciate that I heard this from a friend I trust first." Conner gave a sardonic smile and said, "Guess it's pointless to do an intervention, eh?" Barbara chuckled humorlessly and said, "Sorry Conner. I'll confront him myself." Conner nodded and said, "we understand. If I see Dick, I'll tell him to go easy on M'gann." Barbara nodded and said, "That sounds like a plan." Conner got out his wallet and said, "Ladies, lunch is on me." Once lunch was paid for, Barbara stood up and said, "Thanks for inviting me to lunch. I guess I'll see you out on the field sometime." M'gann hugged Barbara and said, "Good luck Barbara." Babs then left the cafe, getting out her phone. She was planning on calling Dick, and she had a lot to say to him. Most of it not good. She was pissed and hurt, a bad combination for her. M'gann looked at Barbara worried, having a feeling that things were not going to end well.

And we all know what happened afterwards.
