Meanwhile, on the Planet Eternia...
Prince Adam, otherwise known as the Mighty Warrior He-Man, had been waging battle against his traitorous uncle Kendor, now known as the Evil Skeletor for many years. He-Man would often win the battles with the help of his allies She-Ra, Battle-Cat, Man-At-Arms, Sorceress, Teela, and Orko. But there came a day unlike any other. A day when Skeletor gained the upper hand against He-Man by absorbing the power of his old mentor, Hordak and even poor Orko; becoming even more powerful. He tricked his nephew into a trap, and fought him one on one. And Skeletor beat him brutally. He-Man laid on the ground, near death's door.
"You are beaten He-Man," taunted Skeletor, "or should I say, nephew... I didn't need your Sword of Greyskull all along I suppose. Not when I have the power of my former mentor and silly Orko." He-Man glared at Skeletor and said, "You... you'll pay for killing Orko..." Skeletor chuckled evilly and said, "Oh, Orko isn't dead Adam... He's just trapped inside me, forever. Not like you will, He-Man. You will die. And then I will kill your father and your sister.... And then, who will stop me when I take over Castle Greyskull?" He-Man lifted his sword and said, "Not as long as I have some life left in me." Skeletor laughed and growled, "Face reality boy! You are beaten! You have lost! Eternia will be mine!" Sorceress secretly sneaked in. He-Man chuckled and said, "I have one last trick up my sleeve, Skeletor. And your victory won't be long lived." He then lifted up the sword and said, "By the Power of Greyskull, I put my entire soul and essence into this sword!" Suddenly, He-Man started turning into stone. "What?!?!?!?" Skeletor barked, "What is the meaning of this?!?!??!" As He-Man's body turned to stone, he said, "Like I said, this isn't over as long as I have some life left in me. And He-Man will return... Sorceress, you know what needs to be done... Tell Teela I love her..." And like that, He-Man was nothing more than a stone statue. Sorceress then lifted the Sword of Power with her magic. "What do you plan to do with that sword, Sorceress?" Skeletor growled. "I will cast this sword out," she said, "and a new warrior shall rise! Enjoy your victory Skeletor. For it will not be long lived." She then created a portal to another dimension, and cast He-Man's sword out of Eternia. Where the sword was going, nobody knew. Possibly to another dimension, or another earth entirely. Only time would tell.
