"WHERES THE
MUDBLOOD?"

Tiny character note on Alice: She may not be able to read and write, but she at a young age she could speak like a ten year old.
Henry and her mother taught her.

Also, I've changed certain things!

Alice is sitting on the floor. Three or four years old. Henry - he looked so much younger, yet it's clearly him - sits across from her, a small jug and cups between them. No else is around, it's dark out and the only light is coming from a dull lamp.

"Al, you need to try harder!" he says. His arms are folded, even at this age, Alice had seen this look before. It's very familiar.

"I am trying" she protested.

"With them around, we need this"

"I know!"

"Then try!"

"I am!"

"Fine" he says. "You know what? I'm not speaking to you out loud anymore. Never again until you can do it!"

"But-"

Fine, not inside your mind either.

He's talking in her head. That trick that still freaks her out and she still can't reciprocate.

Starting now.

"Henry, I'll get it!"

He doesn't respond.

"Just a few more days"

He only stares at her.

"One day?"

He stares at her. Then, looks at his cold, bare feet.
Alice felt like crying.
She was trying, really hard actually.

"Please Henry, talk to me!"

No response. She knows him. Despite what she said before, she knows him.
