"YOU CUT YOUR
HAIR"

This is a very small filler chapter.
The good stuff happens next!

Alice sat alone in the library, staring at her Transfiguration homework, distracted by everything.

As expected, her wrists had healed on their own and only Ginny knew what happened.
Well that's what Alice hoped.

Everything was still the same.

The trio ignored her.
Romilda annoyed her.
And Henry was still dead.

She ran her fingers through her hair, but she jerked them back as she felt something.
Something she wished would go away.

But always knew it wouldn't.

She felt scales.
The long, black scales.

For whatever reason she thought it would go away, that it wasn't getting worse.
But it was was.
And she was still going to die.

She grabbed her scissors and rushed to the bathroom, locking the door behind her.

She began cutting.
Chuncks if scales and hair fell to the ground.

And tears fell with it.

When she finally met her reflection, it was like she was met with a stranger.
Her hair was now half the length and roughly cut.

It was different.
But she liked it.

It was like a new beginning.

She smiled, stuffing the hair into the small bin under the marble sink, unlocking the door and followed the crowd towards the Great Hall for dinner.

It was simple to say that no one excited or even noticed her new short hair.
And that's the way she liked it.

She sat down, away from everyone, grabbing a plate and piling small amounts of food onto it.

She didn't speak.
She had almost forgotten about the trio.

After weeks of them ignoring her, it became clear that they wouldn't be friends again.

And even if Harry came to apologise, to say he was a git and still wanted to be friends, she wouldn't forgive him.

She would never forgive him.
Not after what he did to Draco.

Who's to say he won't lose his temper on her and do the same?

In short, Harry couldn't be trusted.

She jumped as she felt someone tap her shoulder.
She whirled around and came face to face with the blonde Slytherin.

"Can I talk to you?"
