"HOW COULD YOU BE SO STUPID!?"

"Remus calm down"

"Come on Minerva, you're thinking the same thing"

"Well sure, but I would've been composed"

Alice stood in the middle of the classroom, frozen as she watched in awe at his expression. She saw nothing short of disgust on his face, almost hatred, as his face reddened with anger.

She had never seen Remus Lupin this angry.
She wasn't sure anyone had.

"I said I was sorry"

"Alice how could you keep this from us?"

"Because Lupin, how was I supposed to know you wouldn't exploit me too?"

Fragments of thought, splinters of words, and droplets of silence spun into a kaleidoscopic jumble, shifted infinitesimally, and fell into an incredible new pattern.

"Alice, we would never do that" said McGonagall softly.

"You say that now, but people always want an advantage in a war like this and I'm your advantage. How am I supposed to believe you?"

The words left the two professors as they both stared into her dark eyes, trying to figure her out and their hearts silent.

"These visions, they're blocked out, I can't remember, as of now all I can see is the bodies"

"The bodies?" questioned Lupin.

"Its a war, sir"

"Do you know who?"

Alice thought a moment, planning out her answer. "No, not yet" she lied.

The sigh that escaped Lupin's dry lips was slow, as if his brain needed that time to process what had happened.

"I'm sorry"

"We're just glad you told us" replied McGonagall with a small, sad smile

"No not for that"

"I don't understand"

"I'm sorry that even when I do know who wins, I'll never tell you"

Alice knew there was something suspicious happening when she looked up from the Gryffindor table and saw Blake and Eric staring at her. They turned away and began to whisper amongst themselves.

"Have you seen this?" She heard from further up the table, Avalon looked over and saw Ginny Weasley with the Daily Prophet in her hands. Neville grabbed it from her and began reading.
