A Suprise For Kayla

Kiara's P.O.V. so as of lately i have missed my period for last two weeks i fairly certain that i might be pregnant with Kovu's child i have made an appointment with Rafiki later this afternoon my main concern with the very good chance that Kovu has impreganted me with his seed is how Kayla will take the news either she will be elated at the thought of being a big sister or she will be very disappointed at the possible thought of being replaced by a little sibling before i head off to do my duties as queen i gently nudge Kayla awake as well as say Kayla baby girl it's time to wake and she responded back five more minutes mommy and i respond back it's close to ten in the morning so it's time to get up to which she said okay mommy after a minute or two Kayla woke up and looked up at me from where she had been laying and said morning mommy and i replied back morning baby girl how did you sleep last night and she responded with a huge yawn i slept like a rock to which i let out a small laugh at the unintended pun of her joke i then craned my neck down and kissed her face i then said i think someone needs a bath in a serious voice leaving no room for arguement i then said Kayla you know the drill undress yourself and come over here and let me bathe you Kayla then took off her pajamas bottoms under shirt and underwear and walked over to me and sat down in front of me and i started bathing her by licking her body clean once she was cleaned up and dried off i then said go get dressed for the day your clothing for the day is located behind me so she stepped over me and she got dressed laying down behind me i then said Kayla i'm heading out real soon and i'm leaving you under the care of your Aunt Fuli while i'm doing my queenly duties and while i'm gone you will do everything that she asks you to do understand i don't won't a repeat of yesterday and she responded yes mommy i understand i promise that i will be good and i responded back good i know that you won't break a promise intentionally i then said now go find your Aunt Fuli while nudging her on her way and once she had left the area of the den i made my way to cave where i had a log desk carved in and i sat down started with some paperwork.
Fuli's P.O.V. i am currently laying near the top of Pride-Rock in the sun getting some sun-bathing do i don't normally get to do this since the kids are always around me right now they are with their father and the other members of the Lion Guard i then walked up to near the edge of the precipice and sat down and looked at the gorgous land in front of pride rock when i heard a voice behind me say Aunt Fuli when i heard the voice i almost jumped off the edge i then turned my head to find out who said my name and nearly made me fall off the top of Pride-Rock and i noticed that it was my human niece Kayla standing behind me i then said Kayla honey please don't sneak up on me like that i could've acidentally hurt you or myself okay and she responded back yes Aunt Fuli and i said good now come give your aunt a hug and so she walked up to me and knelt down in front of me and gave a hug i then said what are you doing here anyways and she replied mommy said to come hang out with you while she does her queenly duties do you mind if i hang with you today and i replied not at all honey it was at this moment that her stomach growled Kayla must have heard her stomach as well because she started blushing furiously i then said sounds to me like you haven't eaten breakfast yet to which shyly nodded even though it has been two years since Kiara had adopted Kayla she still tended to become shy around others that weren't Kiara or Kayla's nana Nala at times i then said come on honey let's go grab some breakfast and together the two of us made our way down Pride-Rock to catch some breakfast for us once we had reached the savannah we laid in wait for breakfast after a while a zebra walked into my line of vision i looked at Kayla who was laying across from me i then whispered on the count of three we attack the zebra i then started counting one, two, three, as soon as i said three the two of us leaped out of the underbrush and attacked the zebra together in no time the two of us downed the zebra and i dragged it up to the top of Pride-Rock upon reaching the top of Pride-Rock i set the zebra corpse down and then i torn into the zebra's flesh since i have sharp teeth to do so once i had a good enough piece of the zebra's leg torn off i then laid it in front of Kayla and said here you go honey and she replied back thanks Aunt Fuli and then she started eating the zebra leg after about fifteen minutes Kayla had finished eating and i had gotten done as well and then Kayla said Aunt Fuli do you mind if i laid down next to you and i replied you know Kayla you don't have ask me that because you already know the answer to that question and she responded right she then laid her head down on my stomach after a while she said Aunt Fuli and i replied yes dear what is it and she replied have you noticed that mommy has been very moody these last few days and i replied yeah now that you mention it your mommy has seemed very distracted and distant these last few days it's probably all the stress from her job as Queen or maybe she's pregnant with your daddy's child at this statement Kayla's face went completely blank i then said was it something i said and Kayla said no it's not i just don't know if i'm big sister material to little sibling or siblings she then walked a short distance away and sat down on the ground looking very sad i then walked over to where she was sitting and sat down next to her and comforted the young girl saying hey do you want to hear a story about when i was pregnant with Auni and Kayla nodded her head and i started telling her the story this all took place about a year before we found you for about a week i had missed my period and i was fairly certain that i was pregnant with your Uncle Kion's child and when i went to see Rafiki for confirmation to which he confirmed that i was indeed pregnant with my second child what i was dreading the most was how Mosi would react to news of becoming a big sister at first she was a little upset and so i took her aside and explained to her by saying Mosi honey you have to understand that even though mommy is having another baby it doesn't that your dad and i will love you any less than your little brother or sister do you understand sweetheart and she said i think i understand mommy i'll be the best big sister that my little brother or sister could ever have and i responded to her very good sweetie and besides you can help pick out the name if you want to as soon as these words left my mouth Mosi got even more excited than what she was before and about a month later Kion and I found out that we were having a little boy and about a week after we found out the gender we started looking at baby boy names in a baby book and after several long discussions we turned to Mosi for help with picking out the name and she said how about we name my little brother Auni which in African Swahili means Help, Assist, i then motioned for your Uncle Kion to follow me and the two of us walked to the far corner of the room and discussed the name after several minutes we walked back to Mosi who looked at both of us and said so do you like it to which i said we don't like it and her ears drooped down sadly i then said we love it and her eyes perked up once more and two and a half months later Auni was born and the rest is history and i ended the story saying the moral of the story is that even if your mommy and daddy have a baby it doesn't mean that they will love any less than your little brother or sister so do you understand honey and Kayla said i think i understand Aunt Fuli and i said good dear it was at this moment that someone cleared their throat Kayla and I turned our heads in the direction of the noise and standing there we saw Kiara standing there with a huge smile on her face and she said am i interrupting something the two of us just shook our heads no Kiara then said Fuli do mind if i borrow my daughter i have some very important news that i need to tell her and i said no i don't mind i then nudged Kayla and said go see your mommy and she stood up and walked towards her mother and together the two them headed back in the direction of the royal den i then streched out and resumed sun bathing.
Kiara's P.O.V. once Kayla and I reached the royal den i then said Kayla please sit down on the floor because the news may knock you off your feet once Kayla had sat down on the floor of the royal den i started out by saying Kayla mommy has some big news do you want to know what it is and she nodded her head hesitantly i then took a deep breath and said do you want to know why i've seemed distant and distracted latlely and Kayla said yes and i then continued well that's because apperantly mommy is pregnant with your little brother or sister are you excited baby girl and she nodded her head excitedly and i then said if you want you can choose the name for your little brother or sister and Kayla said i'd love that mommy she then said i can't believe that i'm going to be a big sister to a little brother or sister i thought to myself well that went better than i thought it would.
