Finding Kayla/Danger Ahead

Morning Patrol
I left pride-rock around 8:30 this morning with Shenzi and my brother Kion and we checked all the borders and markings while we were checking the western border my ears stood up after hearing the sound of crying i noticed that the crying was coming from a bush about 30 feet to my right i then motioned for Kion to take the right flank while at the same time Shenzi took the left flank across from the bush i then carefully made my way into the bush after looking for a few minutes i noticed that the crying was coming from a human baby the baby must have seen me because it instantly calmed down i then walked over to the human baby i fell in love with the baby instantly i then gently picked it up by the shirt it was wearing i then carefully backed out of the bush once outside the bush i gently sat the baby on the ground it was at this point that both Kion and Shenzi returned to my side Kion then said uh sis why do you have a human baby to which i replied well i found it in the bush kion then said so are you planning on keeping it to which i nodded my head in confirmation i then looked down at the baby and said i've only just meet this baby i already have felt a connection with it i then said and i plan on raising it as my own to which Kion said are you sure you ready for that i mean it is a very huge step to take i then said yes i am i may not know much about raising a human baby but i'm always up for a challenge i then picked up the baby by it's shirt i then started my way back to pride rock after a few minutes i arrived back at Pride-Rock i walked over to the royal den i then cleared my throat and said everyone i have an announcement to make everyone turned their heads towards me the one to speak was my mother Nala who said what's the big news Kiara darling to which i replied i have adopted a human baby that i found while on patrol i then walked over to my mother and showed her the baby i then said when i found it i couldn't tell what gender it is mom then said my motherly instincts tell me that it's a baby girl i then turned the baby over onto it's back and sure enough it is a baby girl i then turned back to my mother and said well your instincts are proven my mother then said what have you decided on naming her then a name came to me i then said i have the perfect name how about Kayla to which my mother said that name's perfect for such a cute little angel i then said yeah it is i then laid on the floor next to Kayla i figured that she must be hungry i then used my paw to gently drag her over to me i then used the same paw to bring her next to breast so that she could do so nursing once she was near my breast she gladly started nursing from my breast milk supply after about fifteen minutes i heard Kayla let out a loud burp i let a little chuckle and then said you were hungry weren't you honey i then turned back to mom and said i guess since i'm Kayla's mommy that makes you her nana to which she let out a small giggle i guess it does dear i then said i happy that you didn't get mad that i brought Kayla into our family to which mom said i'm not mad dear i was just a little suprised that's all but don't worry as long as Kayla's nana and papa are here we will spoil her rotten i then said i bet you guys will now i think that i'm going to go do my queen duties for 2 hours then after that i'll spend the rest of the day with my baby girl do you mind watching Kayla for me mom if you don't mind which mom said don't worry dear i would love to watch Kayla for you dear and besides i get a chance to get to know my granddaughter better i then said thanks mom i then start walking out but not before licking my baby girls face and then i made my way out of the cave i was about to head to mine and Kovu's cave where i take my citizens concerns and requests when one of subjects Danielle comes up to me and says Queen Kiara i hope i'm not distrubing you but there is a dispute that i happening down in the savannah below Pride-Rock i then said thanks Danielle i go check it out and deal with it i then walked down the side of Pride Rock and then headed out into the savannah near Pride Rock after walking for a short while i found the place where the altercation was taking place i then walked up to where both sides where both male lion and female lioness were i then said what seems to be the problem the first one to speak was the female lioness named Violet said Queen Kiara i just found out that my husband she pointed to the male lion is planning on assassinating King Kovu and when i confronted him on the issue he clawed me on my face she then turned her face so that i was looking at her right cheek which indeed had 3 semi deep claw marks in it i then looked at the male lion and said is this true to which he replied no it isn't but i could tell he was lying because he wouldn't look me in the eyes thus confirming what Violet had said i then spoke with venom in my voice i know that you are lying you should consider yourself very lucky that i'm in a good mood that you are only getting exiled because normally you would be executed for high treason for planning regicide aka the planning of killing a king or queen now leave and never ever come back because if i ever find out that you are in these lands again i will not hesitate to have you killed for treason and with that the male lion slinked off but not before saying this isn't over Queen Kiara not by a longshot and then he walked off into the tall savannah grass once he was out of eye sight i then turned my attention back to Violet and said you should go see Rafiki so that he can treat the wound to your right cheek which she said yes Queen Kiara i then said well if you need anything at all just come and find me Violet after i had finished speaking i then walked away from Violet and headed back to Pride-Rock so that i can take care of my duties as queen so that i could spend time with my baby girl Kayla.
Nala's Point Of View It's been two hours since Kiara had left Kayla and myself in the royal den currently my beautiful granddaughter is laying curled up next to me sleeping i don't know exactly how old Kayla is but i figure that she's about a year old from the way her body is shaped i then thought to myself Kayla looks like what Kiara was at Kayla's age i then thought it's amazing to think that it only seems like yesterday that Kiara was a very adventurous and crafty cub and now she's both mother to her people as well as a mother to Kayla i just hope that Kayla won't constantly get into trouble growing up like her mother had it was at this point i looked down and saw for the first time my granddaughter's beautiful aqua blue eyes i then said to the one year old did you have a nice nap curled up against nana i know that she probably doesn't understand me but that was okay as long as she's safe loved and protected from the dangers of the world to my suprise Kayla spoke for the first time saying i wov u nana at the sound of her speaking i started to cry tears of joy i then said i wuv u too Kayla you will be loved and protected by your papa and i and your mommy and daddy Kovu as well as your Uncle Kion/Aunt Fuli and Aunt Vitani/Uncle Kopa and papa's sister Aunt Chiku i then said hey why don't the two of us take a little nap while we wait for your mommy to return from doing her queenly duties which she responded to my question by closing her eyes i thought to myself before falling asleep as well how lucky am i i'm not only a wife and mother but a grandmother to Kayla as well i then closed my eyes and layed down in a protective stance around Kayla.
10:30 P.M.
Kiara's point of view after 10 straight hours of taking the requests and concerns of my subjects i was extremely tired from my queenly duties that i walked back to the royal den to rest for the rest of the night what i saw when i walked into the royal den warmed my heart the sight i saw was my baby girl curled up against her nana while my mom had Kayla protected in secure and protective embrace while behind my mom i saw my dad sleeping next to my Aunt Chiku in the far left corner of the room Kion was sleeping with his arm draped around his wife and my sister in law Fuli and sleeping in between the two of them was my niece Mosi and nephew Auni and in the far right corner of the room my other brother Kopa sleeping next to my other sister in law Vitani and laying at their feet was my other nephew Badru and his little sister Johari and in between the space where my parents slept my husband Kovu curled into a ball sleeping i then walked over to my spot next to Kovu and laid down the last thought i had before falling asleep was wow i'm a mommy to beautiful little baby girl and then i closed my eyes and went to sleep.
