"Next time you decide to walk through another world, you should take me with you so I can save your sorry ass."
The words her cousin had told her a week ago ran through her head and she was already dreading the I told you so that was going to come once she got home... that is if she made it out alive.
Sharp nails scratched her abdomen and she cursed. She had walked into a world with a night sky filled with stars and the biggest mountains she had ever seen. She was wandering around, enjoying the view when four figures leaped out of a bush, one jumped at her scratching her left arm making her hiss and take out her sword.
Goldryn warmed in her hand, it was a gift from her mother for her eighteenth birthday. She swung the sword and cut off the head of her attacker then quickly turned around to stab another one about to cut her. She slashed the ugly creature's chest and it shrieked.
"Agh!" She felt sharp teeth on her shoulder.
She elbowed the creature that clung to her back and it let her go. She stood glancing at the three beasts that surrounded her. She may not know what they are, but she knew if they have no head they die.
She smirked before quickly taking a dagger from her thigh and throwing it to the one in front of her and launged forward striking, it dodge just in time before Goldryn to cut it in half. She quickly dropped to her knees as the other two came towards her, she slashed their legs and their shrieks were horrendous. She stood up and swayed on her feet, she glanced down at her white tunic ripped open and covered in blood. "Dammit." She mumbled.
She decapitated the legless creatures and turned to face the last one of them. "You can walk away." She said, "or you can join your friends." She smirked.
It turned around and walked away. She let out a sigh of pain and relief and dropped to the ground, her back pressed on a rock. She closed her eyes to catch her breath and swore she could hear her uncle Lorcan saying "foolish girl" as she felt long fingers close around her throat.
She opened her eyes and saw black orbs staring back at her. The creature came back to finish her off while she stupidly rested in a land that wasn't her own. She reached for Goldryn, but it was out of her reach by a few inches. She grunted in pain as claws broke her skin.
She closed her eyes calling out her power. She hated doing this, which is why she always left it as a last resort. She opened her eyes, ready to kill the thing in front of her only to see its eyes staring at nothing. Its grip on her neck loosened and it fell to the ground, lifeless. Dead.
She felt a presence and looked in front of her. A tall, muscled male with tanned skin, black hair, violet eyes, pointed ears and big black wings behind his back stood about five feet in front of her. He was the most beautiful thing she had ever seen, even more beautiful than the night sky filled with stars above them. In fact he seemed to be part of it, the night and stars.
He took a step forward and she snapped out of her daze. "Don't come any closer." She warned him.
He furrowed his brows, but stopped. "What court are you from?"
She frowned at his question, but answered anyway, "I'm from Terrasen."
Now it was his turn to frown, "There is no such place in Prythian."
She guessed he meant this lands. "That's because I'm not from your world."
He raised a perfectly shaped eyebrow, "You must have lost a lot of blood." And took another step forward.
"Stop." Instead of listening to her, he took another step. She raised her left hand and he stopped, looking at the flames dancing on her fingers. "Another step and I'll burn you alive." She growled at him.
