You wish to whisper louder,
And to shout quieter
You wish to speak when spoken to,
And during no other time.You wish to stand out in the littlest ways
And to be hidden in the emptiest space
You wish to gasp for air when you're resting
And to breathe freely when not.You wish to run when there is no place to be
And to walk when there is and no time to be.
You wish to love when you shouldn't.
And to hate when no one should.You are the epitome of a paradox
And yet the absolute opposite of;
One of the most brilliant people and
Yet the most demeaning to yourself.You are a trapped lion in a gazelle's mouth
You feed on loneliness like it's a four-course meal
And yet starve yourself for someone else
Someone who can't even love themselves.
