26. Our Place

We got into Emmett's Jeep and we are off to my home.

Bella sat in back seat and me in passenger, my fingers interlocked with Emmett's on my thigh.

My thoughts drifted to Charlie, where was he?

"Charlie left when you were unconscious, he had some urgent work" Emmett answers my question looking at me.

Can he read minds too?

He just smiles at me and turns his face back to the road again. I look in the backseat, to see Bella was passed out.

Soon the Jeep stops in front of my house, I blink a few times to get myself back from the neverland I was in. I was about to get off when a strong arm wraps around my waist and pulls me back. Emmett places me on his lap, making me straddle his waist.

"Where do you think you are going?" He rubs the tip of his nose on my cheek.

Not able to find words because suddenly the fairy of voice took away my voice, I just point finger in the direction of the house.

Emmett tightens his grip on waist and he slightly shakes his head no. I give him a questioning look when I hear a door slam and look over to see Bella's retreating figure.

Before she opens the door, she turns back, "Take care of my little sister" she shouts and she disappears into the house.

I feel Emmett nod his head.

I look at Emmett, "What's going on?" I ask him.

"Well a little birdie told me that, you have loads of question."

Ohhh yeah I forgot about that, "Andddd I can't live another moment not having you in my arms after seeing you unconscious on the floor I don't want to leave your side at least for a while" He whispers in my ear and he places me back on my seat but he interlock our fingers like before, leaving me look like a fresh red tomato.

He starts the engine and we are off to our place.

We reach in front of our school in about ten minutes.

Emmett parks his Jeep in my spot and we start walking towards the forest.

"Jump," Emmett speaks up. I look back to see that we are far from school and nobody can see Emmett.

I hop on his back and he is dashing through the forest.

In couple of minutes we are standing below our tree, the tallest tree in the entire Forks.

He starts to climb the tree and in couple of seconds we are sitting on top of a branch.

The view here never stops to amaze me even though this is my second time here.

"So ma'am can I enlighten you with answers you've been seeking?" Emmett speaks in a fake British accent.

No you have to control.

No you can't.

He will get hurt.

"Soooooooo" he drags again in British.

Okay that's it.

I burst out. I hold his shirt for the support as I laughed my guts out.

I look at Emmett who had a pout on his face, making me laugh more.

I wiped my fake tears and look at Emmett.

"It is not your fault sir" I mock him faking his accent. Making him turn away from me.

Five minutes passed and no word was exchanged between us. Emmett was 'angry' with me.

"Emmmmeeeettttttttt" I place my hand on his shoulder, he shakes my hand away.

Then an idea popped in my head, okay I can probably die because of this but it is worth it.
