89. Snowflakes

The days went by in a flash and so did Rene's growth. It's been just over a week when she was born and right now she looks like a twelve year old.

Edward and Bella are not pleased with Rene following into my footsteps, she picked up my traits without giving second thoughts to it but they are happy that she spends time with me more for some odd reason. Emmett is kinda pissed because Rene is most of the time at our home so he doesn't get to spend time with me like he wants to.

"Come on Rene" we hear Jacob yell from outside, I sigh as I pack up her colors and sketches and push them into her bag. I look at her as a frown has taken over her features.

"You alright?" I ask as she nods, "I just want you to go with us and catch snowflakes" she looks down, "I am sorry kiddo I have to be here with Emmett" I ruffle her hair as her frown deepens, "you know what? We will catch snowflakes tomorrow. Yeah?" I smile at her a small tug at her lips and she nods, she hugs me and runs away outside.

As soon as she step outside I am lifted  in the air and blur of green passes my vision.

"When did you come back?" I lay my head down on his chest and look up at him. His face was emotionless as he continue to look in front of him.

Okay he is definitely pissed.

Few seconds later we are sitting on our tree with my back against his front as he wrap his arms firmly around my waist.

"Will you say something?" I kiss his jaw, he finally looks down but looks back up as quickly.

"You don't spend time with me anymore" he tighten his grip on me, "I know love bu-"

"No buts it feels like you've married Rene not me" he roll his eyes still not looking at me, "and now you are going again with her tomorrow."

I sigh as I have no explanation for it whatsoever.

"I am sorry, I'll try-"

"You'll try" he scoffs at me, "you said that two days ago."

"You know what, I'll ask Jacob to spend time with Rene as he is too pissed that Rene spends time me more than anything and so are you."

"You'll do that?" A sudden happiness burst into his voice, my eyes land on his lips that are trying not to tug into a smile.

"Yeah, I don't wanna make you sad" I grumble. He takes my jaw and smashes his lips against mine.

"You expected that didn't you" I narrow my eyes at him as he looked anymore but at me.

"I don't know what you are talking about" he looks away.

"Come on it's been a while since we went to a restaurant, let us take the car" he quickly changes subject as he takes my hand and we jump down.

"Race you" I bump my shoulder with his as he give me a smirk and takes off.

I start to run behind him, due to having Rene responsibilities I thought it is fit to teach her how to control her enhancements which helped me as well.

Within a second I catch up to him and I turn my head slightly to the left to see him gaping like a fish out of water as I start to run faster.

I squeal as I stopped myself at the driveway first which is now covered in snow.

"Watch out!" I hear Emmett scream but before I can turn he runs into me as we both fell into the snow blanket.

We stared at each other for few seconds comprehending what just happened before bursting into laughter.

"Get off you big oaf" I giggle as he press himself more against me, he leans a down and kisses me.

"Well that is a pleasant surprise." We pull apart to see Alice standing over us with her hands on her waist with a smirk on her face, "you guys have a house, and you are about to do it on your driveway" she smirks as I pop my tongue out at her.

Her expression quickly changes to unsettling seriousness, "We need to meet Carlisle, something happen when Rene was catching snowflakes."

Emmett groans and slam his head against the snow. "It is serious" Alice says in a serious tone which now we both know, how serious it is.

We quickly get up and dusted off the snow as we all start to run towards the house.
