94. The Book

"Bella what are you doing here?" I turn around quickly placing the book on the side of my shorts covering it with the shirt.

"I can ask you the same" she raises her brow at me.

"This is mine and Emmett's place, I just came here to think stuff through" I slip a lie with confidence, "So back to my question what are you doing here and how did you find this place?"

She sighs in defeat, she chucks a Shakespeare novel at me and places herself beside me.

"Alice left it for me, she said to go to the tallest tree in forks, it will be well hidden for some odd reason and just a feet higher than the rest and this was it."

"She saw us."

She nods at me. I take out the book from my shorts and place it in her hands.

"She lead me to this, I was about to open it when you startled me. I came here because I don't want Emmett to worry plus there are two vampires in our home even though Carlisle trusts them and they are really nice but I can't risk it" I explain, "Yeah" she agrees as she opened the coverless book.

"It is addressed to me" she mumbles, I look down to see the Shakespeare novel on my lap, I open it, "it is addressed to me" I announce as I flip through its pages.

"It doesn't say anything except to check my camera bag" I chuck back the book towards her, she swiftly catches it still reading the book I bought, "What she said to you?" I nudge her shoulder with mine. She holds the book for me to see, my eyes scan the page. "You should do it, you know it is best for her even I don't like the idea but it is best for her and safe, if things go south" I place my chin on her shoulder, she nods.

"My bag is back at Charlies I'll probably go tomorrow." 

"We will be going too, all three of us for Christmas" she looks at me, "by your looks you forget?" she chuckles. "No I don't think I got an invite." "Check your phone he invited you too, its on the family group."

"I'll read it later, right now I should rush now before Emmett wakes up otherwise I'll have hell to pay" I stretch myself standing up.

"See ya' and don't let me see you near our spot ever again" I playfully glare at her yet she nods seriously.

Good.

I jump down and head towards home praying that Emmett is still sleeping.

I reach home and jump up the balcony and slide open the door, to see the room up side down.

Fuck.

I close the door, "Emmett" I yell, my voice echoing through the house, few seconds later I hear heavy footsteps coming towards me and in blink of an eye I am tackled to the ground. 

"Where were you?" He growl in my ear pulling me up with him from the floor. 

"I-" I stutter as anger flare in his eyes.

"Where love?" he tight his grip on my arm, not enough to hurt me. 

"Hey everything alright?" Benjamin pop his head through the doorway.

"Yeah" I give him a tight lip smile, he slowly nods his head walking away as his steps fades, I peck Emmett's lip, "I will tell you everything at Charlie's, promise" he nods his head embracing me in a tight hug which I returned gladly. 

"Next time if you leave,  tell me" he whisper in my ear.  "I will"  I take out the book and place it in the book shelf Emmett following behind me. "Where did you get it?" 

"Like I said Em I will tell you everything at Charlie's, promise" I turn on my heels and kiss him.

"Carlisle called" he pulls apart with a groan making me giggle and he pushes me in the bathroom handing me my clothes.

I change and clean myself. I step out of the bathroom to see the room empty, my ears perk up as I hear murmuring downstairs in the kitchen. 

I zoom down to see everyone standing around in the kitchen. 

"Good morning, everyone" I say walking up to Emmett, he sling his arm around my shoulder pulling me close.

"Where is Benjamin, Tia, Edward, and Bella?" I ask. 

Carlisle points towards the backyard. I nod at him, pulling away from Emmett, I peck his cheek and walk outside. 

I see Edward, Jacob, Bella looming over Benjamin who is kneeling in front of Rene with her hands in his fist. I walk close to them, "Benjamin can influence the elements" Edward says as he twists his wrist and a small whirlpool of dust flies off of their fists. 

"And here I get self control" Bella says fascinated making me smile. 

We hear screeching of birds and two women jump down tensing everyone, in blink Emmett is by my side, protectively. 

"Senna and Zafrina from the amazon" Edward informs everyone. Bella takes Rene's hand and walks towards them. Both of them bend down and Rene places her hand on either of their cheek. 

After few seconds they both nod down at her with a smile as Rene runs back to Edward. Edward stares at them,"They can create illusions" he says in shock.

"Illusions?" I ask. 

Edward nod at them and they stared at us, "Wow" Emmett mumbles, "It is beautiful" Edward adds.

"What is?" me and Bella say in unison.

"Can't you see?" Edward asks us both, we shake our head no.

"Tell me what are you seeing?" I urge Emmett to tell me. "I am in amazon forest" he says in a daze, looking around. 

"Amazon?" I question looking around only to see forest in our backyard. 

"Emmett and Edward you didn't tell us, your wives are shield"  Elezar walks out from the bushes.

"What is a shield?" I question with excitement. 

"A mental shield is a force field it can block any kind of power" Carlisle and Esme walks towards us, "How I can't read your minds" Edward explains further. 

"It is one of the strongest gift a vampire can have and Carlisle your coven is blessed with two" Elezar smiles. "Yes" Carlisle smiles at him.

"But you-." 

"Not here" Edward cuts me off in my mind, I nod at him.

"Walk with me Tara" Carlisle extends his hand for me to take.
