....Today Edward fought for me. He defended me, but that doesn't change who he is. I need to be careful else I'll misplace my trust. I'm going to find out as much as I can about them and take them down for all they have done.

"You're sure this is the place."
"Yes Tess. I told them I had an appointment with my gynaecologist, but I followed them and they stopped here."
"...but this is an abandoned warehouse. All that's here are used cans and...toilet paper?" she asked scrunching up her face in disgust as she pulled out a roll of toilet paper. Her skinny tight blue jeans and a white top covered by a black jacket and a dazzling pair of stilettoes did the good looking trick for her. While I had on me a black pair of jeans and a loose navy blue 'V' shaped shirt with my boots to go. I was five months pregnant at the time being, but wouldn't under any circumstance settle for a bogus maternity gown.
"I'm telling you, I saw them walk in here together. Maybe there's a basement..or they are nomadic and constantly migrate... I don't know, but we need to find them. Your father kept a journal about them... Did you find anything?"
"Nothing of much relevance. He never wrote down where they met or why they did anything they did. Some pages were burnt maybe those pages had what we needed. I think he wanted to leave, but they didn't let him. Either ways, he started writing when he knew they would kill him for not fulfilling his part of the deal or promise or whatever they called it."
"A promise?"
"Yes. Apparently they give away their most priced possession. His was his diamonds. He figured out sooner that he didn't want anything to do with them anymore, but they didn't let him leave."
"What else did the journal say? Maybe we can find something against them."
"..and then what Maya?" she asked tossing the roll aside and moving closer, "we have already established the fact that these guys are dangerous and just in case you have forgotten, you are pregnant. Do you really want to go up against these bad dudes in this condition? You are putting your life and the delicate lives of your unborn babies in jeopardy."
"Manuel promised that I'll be protected that was the up side of Edward's recruitment and I'm sick and tired of having the people in authority get away with their crimes. You have as much reason to want to take them down too. These guys killed your parents. Maybe if we inform the police they might help. I'm a friend to Leone the detective and..... "
"He knows.. "
"What do you mean by he knows?"
She stared at me with watery pair of eyes and slowly moved over to the side where an elevated platform was erected, "Leone knows about the Arch. He knows about everything. Matter of fact, they killed his father too. I met Leone for the first time after my very first concert here. I thought he was Jerome, but he said he wasn't. We met a couple of times after, and I learned he was a detective at that time he was a lower rank detective who was still trying to adjust to being a cop. I handed him some of my father's properties after his death."
"I remember... I remember when Edward called and requested he wanted the key to your father's diamonds and Leone said something about not wanting to give it. He has a spare?"
"No. What he has is not the key to the safe. I'm the only one with that."
"So, what happened after that? You said that his father was killed by the members of the Arch. Was he a member too?"
"No. He wasn't a member. He was a journalist who threatened to expose them all in his articles so they killed him for knowing too much. You see the reason I don't want you getting involved?"
