Chapter 3

When they sent me back, I landed on a bush for some reason. Don't they know how to send me back properly? Anyway, as I get out of the bush all eyes are on me and some little kids are laughing at me. I try to ignore them and make my way home, but something else catches my eye. It's my friend Eliza! I must not let her see me because she is going to start asking me how I got here and why am I covered in bush leafs and sticks. I try to get away from her but Eliza sees me and runs towards me. I panic as I start thinking of what to use as an excuse for all this. When she finally gets to me she obviously started questioning everything.

-Why are you here all alone?

-I

-And why are you covered in dirt, leafs and sticks?

-Look I-

-Oh my God you embarrassed yourself again didn't you!

-Dude, let me talk!

-Oh yeah, sorry, okay, go ahead

She replies and waits for me to answer. That was when I realized I did a huge mistake. I don't even know what to say! I am just gonna say whatever comes to my head.

-Well, I, um, I was walking around here...

-Yeah and?

-And... I just fell because there was a big rock there...and I fell into the bush...

-You don't sound very believable but that really sounds like something you would do so let's say I believe you for now.

-Heh yeah I know, I just am a little embarrassed, that's why I'm talking like that...

I said with an akward smile on my face. Then Eliza looks at me and says

-Hey! Since we bumped to each other, wanna go out for food or something?

-Uhh, don't really feel like it, sorry.

-Aww alright then.

After that I walk away and waved at Eliza. She just stands there alone for a moment.

Eliza then looks down and sees that there's no rock anywhere near the bush.

-Artemis...are you hiding something?...

She said to herself and then walked home.

(When Artemis got home)

-Hi mom!

-Hey sweetie! Where have you been?

I was just about to say that I was out with Eliza but then I thought that my mom will maybe ask her sometime about this one walk and Eliza would say that we didn't go out and maybe even tell her about the bush so I just said this.

-I just went out to feed some stray animals!..

My mom smiled.

-You and your love for animals..!

She said and pat my head. After that I went upstairs. My mom believed me because I actually do feed stray animals from time to time. But it suprises me that she didn't notice the dirt on me. Maybe she thought it was from the animals? Who knows. It's my mom we're talking after all.

When I got into the house I went to the living room and turned on the TV. All it has are some shitty reality shows and some crappy series.After switching some channels I got to a channel that had the news and what they were saying catches my attention.

"Middle aged man robs a store and threatens the customers and the sellers that he will burn their house if this gets known to the police"

-This is twisted, what kind of society do we live in...

But then I got an idea. I wanted to ask Angela and Lucy if I could go and take this man down! I am pretty sure they won't let me because I haven't even started training but wouldn't it be a good "experiment"?
