Chapter 4

All I could think for the rest of the day was what would happen if I went to capture the thief I saw on the news. I really wanted to go and do it by myself without taking permission of Angela and Lucy but they would kill me if I did, so I waited patiently until the next time I visit them, which was also gonna be my training! I was both excited and stressed about it, because I'm really not an athletic person so I am afraid I will give up in the first 5 minutes. But on the other hand I was thinking about how strong I could become if I train hard and that I'll become a great superhero of my town! I could also gain some popularity this way. Even though, Angela and Lucy never told me if my identity is going to be a secret or not. Oh well, one more thing for me to ask them. After having all these thoughts on my head I decided to go take a shower because I forgot to do so. I'm so careless even for that, hopefully, I didn't leave any dirt stains on the couch. As I am taking my shower my mom comes in the bathroom without even knocking to see if anyone was inside.

-GAAH!!! Oh my God mom, knock first!

I said as I pulled the shower curtain to cover myself.

-Oh, come on Artemis,

My mom said

-I have already seen you naked, who you think washed you when you were a baby?

She said and laughed.

-YEAH, AS YOU SAID, I WAS A BABY, BUT I AM NOT ANYMORE SO GET OUT!

-My, my, no need to shout!..

-Just get out already!

-I didn't even did the job I was going to do when I entered here!

She said and took the laundry. Then I threw a sponge on her head and shouted to her again to leave already and she finally did. I sighed and continued to wash myself and once I finished I went to my room to watch some anime. Then suddenly my phones rings and I see that I just got a text message. It was...Angela?! How did she even get my phone number? Anyway, the message was saying "We finished earlier with work today and have some free time. Can you come now to practice?"

I indeed didn't have anything I had to do so I said yes and then they teleported me to their place.

Both of them were looking at me weird and giggled. At first I was wondering why, until I realized I got teleported there wearing my bathrobe and a towel on my head.

-AHH! How the heck did I forget about this?

I said.

-Artemis, you could just tell us that you needed some time before coming here

Lucy said while she was still giggling.

-Can I...go back to get done with this job?

I asked.

-Haha of course.

Lucy replied and sent me back for 30 minutes. Then when I finished drying my hair and put some clothes on I texted them to get me up there and they did.

-So, am I going to be a fighting God now?

I said with a "proud" look on my face. Angela facepalmed and laughed and then she said

-No you idiot, practicing takes time!

Angela said.

-Okay okay I was just joking hehe

I said with an akward smile, because in reality I wasn't joking, I actually thought of that.

Then out of the sudden, Lucy appeared with a huge smile on her face.

-IT'S DOOONE!!~

She says in excitement.

-What is done?

I ask.

-Your hero costume! I finally finished it!

-OMG LET ME SEE IT!

-Of course!

Lucy then gave me a bag that had my costume in it. I take it out while having a smile that went up my ears.

-It's perfect! Exactly how I imagined!

I said.

-I am so glad you like it, I worked really hard for it. You had one of the most difficult costumes.

-Oh, uh, sorry?...

-No, it's okay! I had fun making it and I liked your creativity!

-Oh alright then

I said amd sighed in relief.

-Thank you!

I said and smiled.

One second after that, Lucy asked Angela if we could leave training for another day and try the costume for today.

-Hmm...alright, I don't want to ruin your excitement.

Angela replied.

Lucy and I looked at each other with a happy face and then Lucy got me to a room where I could go in to wear my costume. I wear it and go out to show it to them.

-It looks great on you, Artemis!

They both said.

-Hehe thank you!

Then I see in the bag the headphones Lucy told me I had to have. They were amazing, with the horns I asked Lucy to add! I take them and wear them.

-They look so cool, I love them.

I said while touching the horns.

-I have a question though.

I continued.

-What is it?

Angela asked.

-Lucy told me that I NEED these headphones, they weren't something I asked her to make. Why is that?

-Oh, we haven't told you yet about it, huh?

-Uh, yeah, since I'm asking you.

-Okay so, you're not going to always have superpowers-

-What, why?! What's the point!

-Please don't interrupt

Angela asked nicely.

-So, as I was saying, you're not going to have superpowers all the time. The way superpowers work with us are like this. We're going to be giving you the superpowers when you need them. For example, when you're fighting and you want to get super speed, you just say it and through the microphone we will hear you and give you the power. With these headphones we can contact while you're fighting.

-Oh okay now I see. But will I get a superpower if I ask for one when I'm not fighting?

-No

-Whaaa? Not fair...

-But!

-Yes??

I was hoping she'll say something positive about it and she did.

-What we do is let you decide to have ONE superpower for always, even when you are not fighting. We understand it's hard to decide so we'll give you some days for that.

-Oh nice! I indeed must think about this seriously.

-Yeah. Also, you will have a weapon of your choise as well. What would you like? Or you need to think about that too?

-No, I know! I want a gun!

-A gun? Are you sure you know how to use it?

-Well, I know just a little bit but won't you also train me on how to use it?

-Yes, that's correct.

Then Lucy said

-So now I know how to design the belt you wanted.

I look at my costume and see that indeed there wasn't any belt. I know why now, she wanted to know my weapon so she can design it right.
